This is half the reason I quit the game. People here don't know how to treat others with respect. The stupidity of many people is yet another reason why the **Filtered** always hits the fan. The solution? Grow the **Filtered** up.

A good laugh which creates a toxic environment. Users just discovering the game aren't going to come on here and see how other people are treated and respond with, "OMG, I really have to play now. I can get called a faggot noob and have my personal life questioned and insulted by a bunch of amazing and mean-spirited people! Where do I sign up!?"

The point being, you may be one of those people who likes to sit the 100-car pileup on the freeway, but you're laughing at the misery of others and the few people whose job it is to clean up the damn mess and help everyone out of it.

id love to see the figures of actual new people, and yes people get carried away but it's not as bad as people think it is. you guys have to put up with alot of dumb asses me included but never take it to heart id be shocked if many actually mean what they say and if they do the jokes on them.

nah that is too simple, if only there was a HUGE rule book with by-law after by-law in it, like rule 5c, that is in section blah of rule book 4.2

There should always be room for pleasant banter and even some off-topic conversation in war threads. I have never liked the idea of banning all spam from war threads. Of course if it becomes this awful behemoth of off-topicness, maybe it has gone too far, but it's supposed to be a place of discourse between the warring alliances. If you take away the ability of people from enemy alliances from conversing and getting along, tensions stay higher longer.

Besides, in our war, we have nothing to kill so we wouldn't be allowed to post at all...bud dum bish. I kid I kid

But wouldn't you all miss things like that in war threads? Would be so boring if all we said was "massed johnny's 10 bil defense, took a planet". Noone would read anything they didn't have to then

long ago asked for a Non GC group on forum for many of the reasons listed.

RL insults and threats etc, bringing ppls family into it..

if the so called mature adults on here, can't act like it then YES they do need preschool rules laid down.

Most of the people complaining about war threads being negative here are actually the ones that create the negativity in them.

i think what has happened (locked thread) should of happened earlier. if the 'mods' are modding correctly it should of not been re opened.

a war thread should be that. full of i kicked your arse, stole your planets, etc etc it makes for a good read, however when it turns to direct insults then mods need to clamp down faster and harder. bans for those who directly insult others (straight away with reason) and perma locked threads. ( with reason but not because of one person)

its a game lets enjoy it for what it is, for the few that spoil it with posted insults , mods should handle them. what has happened isnt nice, but apart from bans and locked threads anything else could lead to even less people playing.
