Spying Question

I sent my spys in and they made it in and out undetected. The info they brought back was very puzzling?

If a person has less defenders than I have but their defensive action shows almost 5 times higher than mine, what gives?

Does Def planet bonus' show for their Def Action when they are spied upon?

Have a sig and can't figure how to load it. It is the basic Tauri sig with the Daedelis and Tauri on it. How would I add my name and another with my Alliance? And then add it to my Sigs?

I hope the update helps people new to this game. I wrote the original guide a very long time ago. I hope the modern version serves you all well, and I hope the originial has helped some of you. While there are many styles of play, I introduce you here to a basic way of playing the game. This is an mmorpg and I hope you interact with the community, learn the game, and most importantly, have fun!

I just started yesterday. I have been attacking and raiding and building my attack and defense. I noticed that my rank is 827, which is too high for the G&R? not sure how that works, or how I am too high for it. I am a bit confuse about the merc training and miner thing. I have a large army size, but I think I just figured out enough to be dangerous..lol...looking for help

Yes. So rank 1241, 1242, and so on until what, 60k or thereabouts, that is too low to get GnR. 1240, 1239, 1238, .. 2, 1.. that is where you do get GnR.

ok, that is good for me then. I dont understand the whole hierarchy of training merc and miners. I kind of have it figured out, but I have 510,000 UT Mercs and can't train them cuz it puts me over limit. I have 5,000,320 Miners

my UP is 10,081 per day (12, 097) ?

here are my stats....any tips?

Offensive Away Team 253,037
Offensive NID Team 295,776
Attack Mercenaries 230,011
Home Base Guard 75
Defensive NID Team 270,040
Defense Mercenaries 384,060
Untrained Military Peons 972
Miners(Lifers) 5,000,320 (5,000,043)(and what is the number in the parentheses)
Untrained Mercenaries 510,000
Undercover Agents 6,481
CounterIntelligence Agents 5,214
Total Fighting Force 6,445,986

Welcome first of all!

Miners give you Naquadah. A portion of the miners you train become lifers. A lifer is a miner unit that can not be untrained. Based on what you showed me you have 5,000,43 lifers and a total of 277 miners that can be untrained and used for other purposes such as attack/defense/covert/anti covert. Untrained mercenaries are completely useless. What I would suggest for you is to get yourself a whole bunch of personal turns from the market and you should raid and grow your army. You should shoot for 50k units per 15 turns, do not go below that. You should also untrain the offensive away team and train them into covert so you can spy more people. Once you grow until at least 100 million army size, you should then focus on ascending. YOu ascend by gaining glory and reputation points by being ranked 1248 or lower. On your first ascension you will lose your resources unless you have supporter status and are able to broker your stuff away. If you do not want to spend the 20$ you will get supporter status after you ascend the first time. It wouldn't be a bad idea to ascend with everything and start yourself towards building a decent ascended account. Resources are cheap, you can get everything you need as long as you have turns. Most of all have fun, stick around, and bring your friends!
