I'm sure it would. But think rationally, what would it do that is NEW. We have alot of stuff in this game. Im sure it could be valuable but they aren't helpful now. However Im sure people would back this idea if you gathered real, solid reasons to add them.

this is another example of a suggestion which will just give the powerfull even more power (and a new toy to play with :-D )

I really am tired of newbie's complaining about the powerful....I started last OCT....I made it to the top 10, right next to my first CO Rasterblaster, who is still there. YOU can rise to power, if YOU know how to play well.. IT's the player that counts. Now, I will never be a Juan, Etl, or Metal...But, I am of decent power none the less...Much more then many players older then me, that just aren't good players.

Speaking as someone who could not afford it, i think it's a good idea, but i think the suggestion to wait a while is also a good one.

I like the idea of upgrading MS into city ships. Or have Ascendeds buy City Ships intead of Motherships. Make the upgrades and weapons cost more on the city ship using the same ratio as the weapons in the armory between Ascendeds and non ascendeds. Biggest problem is Ascendeds who allready have MS.

As for the whole, give more power to the stronger players arguement.

For starters, most stronger players don't hit noobs because its generally a waste of time and resources. A noob gets hit if he does something to get the bigger guy mad at him.

2nd, if the game doesn't keep adding new things, the stronger players will grow bored and either quit, or simply hit noobs to entertain themselves.

3rd, the strong players worked long and hard to get where they are. We shouldn't stop adding good things to the game all because people are afraid that the noobs will never get it. If a noob works long and hard, they too can get it. Why punish the strong for staying with the game to get where they are?

Don't even start by saying by the time the noob gets it, the stonger player will have a far stronger one. Well, that may be true, but if the update wasn't implemented, then the strong player would just have his others stats stronger. The powergap would be basically the same...

As for not good now, but later, you have to tell forum these ideas now, so that by the time it gets coded properly, it is time for another update.

Heated Discussion in here..

So here my thoughts:

1. The big league players will ALWAYS be more powerful, they hav spent alot of time and effort getting to where they are.. i been playing for almost a year now and im fairly well off, some one that started playing 1 month ago will probly never get as powerful as me as long as i continue playing.. this is a fact we have to accept.

2. I dont think City ships as war ships is a Great idea..
I mean CITY SHIP Vs. MotherShip... it doesnt sound very fair does it? And this will give the bigger players a bigger advantage, especially if it costs several billion, which most elder players make in a couple days.. But the idea of a city ship could work.. Not as an upgraded mothership but as a defence structure..

3.Has anyone thought about integrating the idea of a City Ship with the New PLANETS?
I mean, u can buy a city ship for a planet, and it will say double the defence on the planets plus add some of its own..

eg. normal Defence 300,000,000
EG. With City Ship 300,000,000 * 2 + 50,000,000 city defence (650,000,000 defence of planet, makes them alot harder to steal)

And possibly hav the option to move ur city ship between planets (takes 24hours to move between planets)

By doing this:

Its more a defencive toy, rather than offencive...
Noobs dnt lose too much cause they dont attack big players for planets
Every 1 is happy to increase planetary defences
New toy for all to play with

City ships to with Planets. Not a bad idea. Though, I think doubling defence is a bit bunch. Maybe the amount of defence it add be an upgradeable option or something.

My thoughts about this...
As an basically idea it is OK. I agree that the price should be a bit higher then 1.8 billion (how better effects, how more it should cost, isn't it?). Althought 18 billion is even a bit high. An MS is for someone within the 5k obtainable within about 4 days.
So let's see... let's say it must cost about 7 days normal standard income (I put the turn income at standard 20 million). So that is 7*48*20 = 6.72 billion naq..
Er... Seems actually low to me... ehm... let's say 30 million each turn, that is about 10.5 billion. Seems more fair to me.
Making it defend a specific planet is an OK idea! It adds to the planetary defenses (make the power upgradable, either relative (%) or absolute) and adds to UP, Attack and Defense. Quite a nice idea. One thing: make the maximal amount of ships sticked to a planet 1. So you MAY have more ships then planets... but you also then have (temporary?) 'wasted' ships. Maybe also an idea to let ships who are allocated to planets stay during your ascention (other ships disappear, just like your normal MS).

About getting power: I started in January. With some help from Madcat (and some others), but basically doing it myself, I climbed up to the ranks where I currenly are.
Only reason you won't get powerfull is you either have got bad luck that nobody will help you (or that you haven't got enough time) at the start or that you just haven't got the basic skills needed for it.
