Hmmm I currently I have been already
It is more likely about other than yourself, but even being your own commander needs to pass leadership then get it back..
I wonder if the delete your commander option should be able, and if yes, should he also for leaders if they are their own commander?

Ascended people should be able while being leader to have any commander, why? Because they are ascended

Afterall Baal had an empire, and he was "officer" of Anubis, so the reason about allegiance is out!

And what about the Disciple/Mentor thing?
The disciple can be able to lead an alliance, but it doesn't mean the mentor can't still have influence, afterall!

i say no. if you are leading an alliance. you cant pledge your allegiance to someone else. its like sayin that your emporor of rome but the emperor of london is your master. doesnt sound right does it?
if you have a commander and you lead an alliance it makes you just a soldier

Hmmm in this way you are right, BUT, if I'm leader of a training alliance, for example, why couldn't I be officer of member (HC or leader preferably) of the "elite" alliance? In this situation, that's ok isn't it?

t00t t00t we need this NOW especially with those popular UP Circles, lots of leaders were forced to pass ingame leadership to get into circles.
Alliance leaders able to have commanders, NOW

no... being commander means you answer to no one, also it means you sacrifice a little more than the rest of the alliance. So if they don't want to be commander, then they should make arrangements to be 2nd IC.

the theory is sound
if u are a leader of an alliance u are a leader of men (sorry its the phrase for the girls out there tweets prime example) not a follower as previously posted
tho i suppose a special bonus for being a leader could be given by admin
though it might break up a few alliances if the bonus was good enough

*grumbles at frazz for sending me a post i want to respond to*...
Yeah .. You used to be able to have a commander when leading an alliance and it is certainly nice to have the option even if you wanted it to be yourself. However, I would like for the commander of the training alliance to be under me so I can just pass a note direct to him (because admittedly I am lazy and don't want to look up the name and copy the message when I can send to alliance and then send to officers.
Additionally, as Frazz mentioned... and since we are not able to have the benefits of having a commander, I believe the alliance commander should receive a bonus, whether its additional income, up, etc..

Agreed, one of reasons I proposed it..
