hey scott

I have sent an email listing the folk I could think of
you, me bryth, el_mari, warlord storm, isha I couldn't think of others... but if these ones get sorted it would be sweet
with reference to the market specific stuff... Google Ads (which plague our invision free forum

) pick up information from the page and throw up adds specific (but they are the text based ones similar to what you have down the left hand side....) dont know if that applies to image banners...

RobinInDaHood wrote:You can add the locations of the sites that are serving up the banners to your blocked pages section in your browser. Just right-click the banner, choose properties, and add the domain name in the URL to your block list.
That way, they won't render at all.

you can turn them on & off anyhow...

I dont mind most of the ads, and will leave them on. However, the ones with sound and the cow humping are rather in bad taste in my opinion. I dont mind the little bonus for having them on though. If it helps the game grow as a whole, as long as they aren't intrusive, I don't mind.

I think it is a great idea, I am sure the 'admin' or who ever gets some shinney pennys and we dont have to deal with the flashing pics because we can turn it off now. So I think it is cool.

If it helps admin and the game (and my income) then the adds are a winner i say.

First: It's to... big.
Second: 1% to income for that banner... it's...
Now about blocking it: in FireFox is working fine. In Opera also.
In FF go to tools --> Options -->Content tab --> Load images (press exceptions button from the same row) --> in this new window type (paste) the domein of the ads, click Block, and enjoy

Unfortunately, I am lazy so appologies if this has been mentioned before.
If you use Firefox web browser (as the login screen recommends) you can download a plugin that blocks the adds with out having them turned off. I cant see most people being interested in most of the crap advertised anyway, so its win:win. Just my 2 cents.

and before anyone flames me for not reading the previous post, it was written and posted while i was writing mine. Again appologies to all!

You can turn it off when u are online (playing) and on when u are offline. This means u recive the bonus (1%) in 90% of the time. (I'm online ~2h a day ~10%).

or you can just use firefox and a few addons to it, then have it on 24/7 and not see them at any time... all parties statisfied that way, you get naq bonus, forum gets cash bonus to improve game, add supplier thinks his adds are displayed...
