I would still like clarification if possible. How do you not accept a cash gift from another player?

Hmmm, well, last time I got one.....long ago, buying SS from someone, the effect was applied immediately. Never got another gift afterwards, but I'm guessing it's changed so you actually have to accept the gift nowadays. I'm hoping someone with more experience in these matters can clarify.

might it be by using attack or something like that after receiving ppt?

I want me 10 bucks back.

I used this, or so i thought, as a tactic in the game and was abiding by the rules.

I guess some1 forgot to mention that the rules had changed.

I would not have done this had the rule been clear and a post been made of the change to PPT.

.....

If you spent 20 dollars and you thought you would get SS then all of a sudden you didn't because it had been changed to say $50 dollars but there were no posts to the amendment, wouldn't you be pissed.

Nope. Cause then you still got the PPT. Only for a few turns but you got it.

you spent $10 to buy someone PPT. im asuming the donation went thru alrite. what is not in your control after that is whether or not they decide to keep the PPT or not. they can just attack some1 or spy one some1 to remove it very easily. its theirs to use as they see fit and if they decide to not take advantage of it, its their problem.

however, if the donation didnt go thru then you have something to complain about. i admit, i would be annoyed if something like that happened (donating $20 only to find you needed $50 to get anything).

You're missing the point Satan, ETL didn't attack to get off ppt, he never went onto ppt.

I agree with Lore. How is it possible to refuse a ppt donation someone has bought for you? Last time this happened for me it went through as soon as you donated the money and therefore counts as one of your ppts.....so how can you refuse it?

Was there an update I've missed?

Thanks, Magni.

If you can now decline a "gift" why was no one told? was there an update? or did I just miss it? I wonder why ..... oh nevermind.

you can "decline" basically because it is not a gift, and actually it kicks you off ppt in certain situations. its automatically done for you, i believe.

and as for the donation not going through, etl would have still got the uu, naq and turns from the donation

The $10 donation does nothing but put you on ppt

If you enjoy this game and would like to donate to become a supporter of this site to help cover hosting and bandwidth bills,
you can use Paypal, or any credit card via our 3rd party secure credit card processor
.
Donating to become a Supporter of StarGateWars_Main costs as little as $20 (or $10 for short term benefits only) and definately provides some perks!

Sorry Jase but i really dont see you getting that back.

Well it's pretty much the prinipal of the thing.

Within the rules, i acted as a tactic, the tactic was not successful because some1 had failed to mention the rule had changed. Thus my 10 bucks was received thru deception.

Point being, how can a rule change but everyone not be aware of it.

I have been playing this game since Feb 2005, this is the most disgraceful thing i've seen.

The other day i hired some dvd's 2 for 2 nights at 9 bucks. I forgot to take em back and they ended up being 3 days late. The store in question then informed me that i owed them $54. BS i said, as you would and asked to see the manager. I said to this bloke there's 2 ways this can work, 1. i'll give you 20 bucks and we'll call it even, or 2. take the 54 bucks and i'll never come back here and i'll go to the dvd shop not 2 blocks away and spend 500 bucks in the next yr.

the rule wasnt changed.

a loophole was just fixed.

ppt means ppt.

not ppt until some random bloke decides you should be ppt

ppt means ppt....exactly. JaseB bought ETL a ppt and he didn't get it. Fair enough, the loophole was fixed, but surely this should have come up on the updates, or even mentioned somewhere....

But JaseB bought that ppt on the assumption that ETL would get it.....which to me seems like false advertisement. Sure, you can argue that he simply "donated" to the site....but he was rightly expecting ingame actions for the payment. For example, I would highlight the opposite bit to what Profitteroles did:
If you enjoy this game and would like to donate to become a supporter of this site to help cover hosting and bandwidth bills,
you can use Paypal, or any credit card via our 3rd party secure credit card processor.

Moreover, can someone actually say how you refuse a ppt? This is the newbie section and I'm asking a newbie question, forget all the context of this, I simply want a straight answer from someone that knows.

Cheers, Magni.
