With PPTs and merlins it takes more than a few weeks to really get what hurt most players the most. I belive a FEW Major players left not because of the farming, but because they still had planets they wished to hold. So no staying only a month is not dedication, it is more dedication than leaving the first day though. If you can't really be hurt in the war (losing your lifers) than why leave it? If you can log on often enough to bank then why leave? I belive an account takes more commitment outside of the war then in it, so if you have time for your account then you have time for the war.

To bad for those that left so close to a possible end.

yes I agree you may be right about the planets, however its a mistake to think like this, if you have lost planets, you use thsi to your advantage, you rebuild, you do it better than you did b4.

you say why leave the war, i think this has been anwered many times, because like you said just to log in & bank

Is not playing, you might as well quit, how many differant ways does this need to be said.

yes some like this way of playing others like another, some like a mix of both, etc etc.

are you saying that they should play your way or the high way.

because if this is the case, is this not what you were fighting against

Anyway, I just want to add that there are a few things everyone seems to be overlooking when it comes to people leaving their alliance. I say this as the person who brought me to SGW has had to bow out of the war now and this is his reasonong and I agree with it whole heartedly.

As he is graduating Colledge and going to job interveiws nearly everyday now he no longer has time to play much at all yet alone effectively. We both agree that if you know 100% for sure that you can not contribute to the war or your alliance then why stay in the war and feed your enemy? If he stayed he would be farmed every turn and raided pretty much everyday. There is no fault there. He doesnt want to vacate as when he does find time once or twice a week to play for a few hours or all day one day on the weekend he can still play. He didn't leave to "run" from the war. He didn't leave his alliance out of "fear" or anything else like that. He left because he was hurting the alliance more then he was helping it. He chose to do whats best for the alliance even if it meant leaving it. Why stay in your alliance and do nothing more then feed your enemy with naq and UU??? If you think you can return before the war ends then yes stay, or vacate. But when faces with 2, 3, or 4 months of minimum play time, whats the point of helping your enemy with the naq and UU donations?

As I said, real life reasons are not to be criticized for leaving. I referred to non RL reasons.

S T I wrote::roll: people seem to forget that even b4 this war what my idea of DUNE was, it would be a place people could go if R/L chucked stuff at you, like i said this happens to all.

That they could go but return to an account they could play, most os the people who have joined Dune now have joined because of R/L issues but yes there are some who have joined just to get out of the war, but they have their reasons.

You say there are some... Well isnt it YOUR job to kick those people out ? The people who are just abusing the system, the silly system that WASNT needed.

If people cant play for real life reasons then they go on Vac Mode, I wish people would stop messing with the way the Admins want us to play this game, this is where all the problems start with abusing powers etc.

i don't care which side your on, but am I correct that you are now speaking for the admins,

I throught this Game was designed for the players & the community as a whole & we the community decide how we want it to evolve, we as the communtiy has put a hell of a lot of input into game & now you tell us that we have to play it the way admins want us to play it.

so lets forget about looking for new ways to improve the game or what else we can do to improve anything in fact we will just wait to be told what to do.

by the way Dune was adapted to allow people who did not want to be in the war & as a whole we agreed this on both sides, guess we should have asked someone b4 we made this decision..

I shall be waiting for you in 1,580 mins my darling. But I havent farmed you recently out of respect for you as a Mod and enimie. I admire your style, I am still going to mass you lol but I just enjoy 'the way you roll'.

And to STI, dont belive for one second we pick what happens in this game we are mearly puppets with one or two key puppeteers running this show.

I just dont like the idea of the alliance at all, with Vac Mode you cant send UU/Naq/Turns to your allies. [ Which in everyones eyes is fair ]

In the Dune alliance, you can [ Which in everyones eyes ISNT fair ]

I am not saying people are or arnt doing this, but It wouldnt surprise me. I am also not saying this is your fault and I am not saying you are aiding in this in a way you want to. But I am saying without the DUNE alliance being there this problem wouldnt even exist.

i have handed the leadership over to Reborn (josh) like I have said my Time is limited & now josh as more time to do it.

so i am standing down, i hope in some way I have helped some people< i know i may have pissed some people off.

all I say is try to enjoy the game in what ever way you want to play.

the forum can be a great place to be so don't spoil it.

I will be on now & again but you might not get an aswer to messages for a few days,

maybe everypne should try looking at it another way, if they dont want to hit vact mode and still play, whats stopping them joining a differenet alliance?

just because we have made it very clear what the alliance is about all we seem to get all the time is Dune shouldnt b here, well ok then look at it another way nither should The Oredr or KNIGHTS OF TRINITY or a lot of others

some people just dont have the time anymore or just dont care about the farm war, i myself have took myself out because im about to have another child soon so i have had to cut back the hours i sit here, as for others we dont ask if they want out the thats upto them, just they have to stay out of it

also everyone keeps going on about they must stay out, do u know how that makes me laugh all the time, unless u r a moron y would u build a defence just to join back in to have massed away?

what r they going to do build a 10 tri defence and maybe not have it massed, dont think anyone is going to do that, not even me maybe in about 6 months i might have a defence like that but who knows
