I think its funny you say the tauri's only ability is to meld other's technology with our own. Considering that it works, I'm not complaining too much. It was enough to beat the goa'uld, the replicators, the ori, the wraith... the list goes on. Sure there were a lot of close calls... but you know what they say about what doesn't kill you

but in reality you were all lucky since you had some technology basically spoon fed as i believe the human term is, most of your tech blending

yes, we were spoonfed, I see it now. all those near deaths, all those close calls, nothing.

Which if true, would still give us a massive advantage over the Goa'uld scum, as they lack the capacity to even reverse engineer technology.

Yep the Goa'uld are scavengers, most of there technology, (stargates and sarcoffigi especially) are actually Ancient technology.
