the events were... unexpected...
we think the aliens there were quite interesting... and potentially non-hostile... As usual, we suspect the biggest issue is communications... If Telford manages to learn communicating, they might just be possible to deal with.
The fact that they were on the seedship, far away from any planet, indicates that the aliens have some form of FTL or Hyperdrive systems. Also, the pods they were in, appear to be strangely similar in design to destiny's alteran designs. How advanced they are, has yet to be seen. (except that they understand Alteran technology & have energy-based non-lethal weaponry.

We're beginning to think that the producers are dealing a lot with the practicality silliness from SG-1 and SG-A that all aliens speak fluent English instantly.

I thought the aliens looked vaguely similar to the other aliens, so am intrigued at the relation.....I would love them to have stumbled into a civil war of an alien empire.
Anything more entertaining then walking around talking for 45 minutes is good news to me.

Aye, its trying to be too dramatic/artistic and just failing badly....like the music intro/outro - a couple of episodes a season it works well, but it now seems like we're getting it every episode. I just don't find the characters particularly engaging.....there's no Jack O'Neill, Daniel Jackson, Rodney Mckay, Lee Adama, Starbuck, Jayne Cobb, Malcolm Reynolds.....no spark. Heck they could kill the whole crew and we watch the little blue/grey aliens and I'd probably prefer it....

certainly does seem far more BSG than Stargate-esque

also
Given that one of the forthcoming episodes titles is "Allies/Alliance" (cant remember which) i think its reasonable to assume that Telford makes some friends
its been a season and 3 epps and still theres no aim except getting home epps has nothing in common unless they are planing the intro to be in two seasons.

The aim at first was to activate the 9th Chevron and see what was there... overlaying antagonist, the Lucian Alliance, was introduced as an old enemy from SG1 series. Once they got to the ship, Destiny, their new aim was to find a way back home. They're not the people that were supposed to go so they want to leave. There are minor aims within this though, such as surviving. Surviving includes finding supplies of food and water by exploring planets when they can. Another aim within this was finding a way to actually control Destiny as it was pretty much on auto-pilot when they got there and has been ever since.

Without having to spoiler anything I say, that's about it...

I believe all the strange hallucinations and the strange aliens in eps 1 series 2 are the ancients themselves having a little fun.

They are the only species that could potentially have that sort of power.

There are too many strange things that have happened which can only be explained by "outside" interferance.

Dull, boring, turned it off. Not worthy of the StarGate name IMO

They are the only known species... Yet they never got so far as to construct a planet...

it might've been them, or it could've been someone else... remember, Destiny is far outside the alteran domains...
