I know I said "good luck massing me" to you on msn earlier in the day. But seriously I did not intend for your luck to be so good and mine to be so rotten. The intention was to make it difficult for you to attack me whilst I out celebrating a friends birthday. Clearly that failed.
For those of you who don't know the story. DeathIncarnator applied an alliance PPT shortly after a turn change. 2 miliseconds later, during the post-turn lag, that PPT was removed from the alliance. Which meant the alliance dropped PPT 3 1/2 hours earlier than planned, even though the PPT had been added by the alliance leader.
I got a phone call about this after most of the massing had taken place and I used my phone to drop tag and allow my alliance to phase me, saving a little under half of my strike weapons. It was too late to save the 187m spies that I lost in the process though.
So the result of all this... is painful to say the least. I am gutted. I put my account and even the resources of some of my alliance members on the line, and through no fault of mine or that of my alliance, it now lies in ruins. I am on vacation mode again as I am away for the weekend. After that I will have the even more painful process of trying to rebuild the account I shouldn't have lost, and trying to repay the UU loans I should have already repaid.
And DeathIncarnator - PLEASE get some sleep yourself. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go and rest yourself up for the next round.

I am not gloating here. But yes I did get lucky. I explained to you how lucky as well on MSN.
You came off PPT at 0705 my time, and thus got massed in that turn, but my real luck came with the time my planets were coming off merlin - 0735. Which meant that I either then had to re-merlin them or go to PPT myself. So yes, I was lucky.
However, if you'd have been online then I still could have taken out those spies - admittedly at a higher cost to myself. But you were one sab for me and then mass. If your defence had been up, it would have been mass through the defence, more costly but do-able. Though yes you would have had no nox against me I admit which would have hurt.
It was obvious to us that TAAE and TATS had built you up and as such taking you out was a priority and thus, even though I now know that it was a partial fault of game mechanics, I do not regret and would do it again. It's the nature of things.
Now Death Incarnator, you get some sleep. It is not your fault the mechanics failed. The turn change is always a risky business when doing things and the lag and mechanics there make it a bad proposition. But even if Norbe had not lost those resources and had come off PPT at a time when I or others were not around and massed every big defence in Delta and Pi, that would not change our resolve for this war. It would be damaging, true, but not devastating.
If Admin J decides to give back the resources, then so be it, he is also aware I asked for my losses back, which I believe is fair even if it wasn't as much.
To TAAE and TATS, I do wish you luck in this war, just not heaps of it. I am on the other side after all.
