And eros, you said you didn't like it when space changed what he said 2 hours later, and it took you less than 40 minutes, congrats, thats a new record.

Why should the forum rules be updated as the ombudsperson changes? I think doing that would confuse more people than using the word "ombudsperson".

I know, it was intended to be referred to as a quote, being used to nitpick at him changing what he said.

I would actually do the same, and often refer to people as a (s)he or wo/man or similar, even if I'm mostly sure of their sex.

I mean one time people thought sigh was a girl... in fact were sure of it... how many times was he insulted by being called a girl? do you see him jumping up and down in complaint?

Anyway.. be rid of the guy, there's nothing in the modforums that is controversial enough to give Eros any credibility again.

You have already had your say in here and another couple of threads - and even the community opinion has not gone your way.

You were removed from your position because you were unsuitable for it. Surely you must accept that as the truth - because that is the way a lot of people view it. And that logic is based on the fact that that according to you Spacey definately called you a woman, despite the fact most people disagree.

Or does that only work because you said it?

You need to face up to the fact that you are not always right - and if you keep on down this path you will only serve to turn more people away from you,

But Jack I believe many people think flaming and argueing on sgw forums on what other person meant by his/her post (ooops!) is more important than fact a serie would disappear (even if it's a good one!)
Not only this time, but many times mods have been pointed at while they did their job (well or not), and even if we have most cool people as mods it will still continue!

First of all let me state that i am speaking as a user of this forum right now and not as one of the moderators:

I see 2 sides fighting eachother for a simple thing as misunderstanding a post. I think it is time we accept the fact that this was the case. We can go on like this for months or even years but what is the use? In the end all we do is take our own credibility's down. But if this is what all of you boys/girls want i will not stop you from doing it. However i will state clearly right now that if this comes to a battle i will not take part of it. I don't see anything wrong in what spacey did at the moment and both eros as him are my friends. I therefor can not say that i am unbiased in this situation but i will vouch my oppinion as its my right as forum user.

If mods are massed for this i will help them rebuild. I will also help rebuild everyone who has so far made posts about this and who will be massed because of it. I find this situation a complete waste of time for both parties, as in the end noone will gain anything from this. In one hand we have Eros who wants to avenge himself but doing this he will loose lots of the credibility he has and in the other hand we have mods and users who want to make eros realise that he didnt do his job as was expected from him. Then we have the tthird party wich includes me who doesnt want to interfair in this because they know what comes of it. See my point? If not let me state it clearly: If this fight continues the game and forums will suffer from it even more people will fight eachother with their stats and words wich eventually will lead to the community falling apart.

Is there a way to solve this? IMO yes spacey and eros talk with eachother and some neutral people will monitor this and will help reaching a solution for everyone. In the end though peoplee have to realise that massing eachother no matter how satisfying it is is not the solution.

In case you haven't noticed Psi the Mods don't have credibility, which is why the ombudsman position was invented. Now if you mods are talking about people in private and not being respectful and it subsequently comes out who is to blame? The people who talk badly about posters on their private little mod board or the guy who gets access for the purposes of keeping an eye on the mods?

Sounds to me like people are saying stuff they shouldn't on the mod forum, after all why would you be concerned at Eros saving threads from the mod forum if they didn't contain something you lot would rather not was made public?

It all goes back to respect, you lot have low levels of respect for the posters, zero respect for who we voted as Ombudman, we all know you never wanted an ombusman, it was only jason promoting Mystake that made it happen in the 1st place. Now i admit i never thought Mystake would do a decent job, but he did and ironically just as he was really starting to get to grips with it he was removed and we had a vote for the new one thread, now you guys don't like Eros, who's to say you will like Jack, or jedi, or anyone else we vote for?

Sorry mods, you missed the point, this role was never about who YOU like, it was about who WE want to keep an eye on you sneaky sods, to make sure you are not abusing your power...but what happened, 1 sniff of controvesy and you all remove Eros without any delay.

He may have acted like a **Filtered**, but people don't just immediately become perfect for the role, it takes time to get used to it and work out how best to deal with people, you never gave him a chance, you never WANTED to give him a chance in the 1st place.

Semper would have been a good choice...and Jack if you are chosen for that spot I doubt you'll can continue to hate general lol

I have just been completely innapropriately been warned by Nimras. LAST WEEK I replied to a thread of my friends, making a joke (non offensive in any way) and Nimras deletes it and warns me. I guess the mod's have finally began their forum assault on me. Now that I have 3 warnings, (2 from a long time ago from the same thread from one mod), they are probably going to suspend me for 7 days... Heh

First off Blahh meant his actual house, not the thread, and second of all you shouldn't moderate when you are drunk and cannot fully comprehend/see/think.

I also find it annoying how the mods had to make 2 new threads about this so I have to post the same thing in 3 threads..
