Only gay people threaten to send viruses and destroy computers.

People need to stop whining when someone calls them a name, and either return the favor, or just ignore them. People who are "offended" by words, are pathetic, and weak.
Roger that. Words only have the power that you give them.
@Smoosh - That was said tongue-in-cheek about recent circumstances revolving around a community member being called a woman and taking offense. My own opinion leans more toward Jack's take on the matter.

Drop the subject smooth, True it's a public forum, True you can put rules in, then it becomes a censored forum.
RESPECT, is what it's about PERIOD.
And u can't go and make it a rule to respect someone, respect is earned not given.

Smoosh
Personally, I've never known a secure heterosexual man to be offended by being called gay, either. Or a woman, for that matter.

It's not always just about the 'rule breaker' and who he/she is trying to insult though is it? The fact it is being used in an attempt to insult, or have a dig at somebody in a derogatory manner, whether they are heterosexual or not, could in consequence be classed as an insult/be insulting to someone who IS homosexual, simply because the meaning of how it is used is meant in a negative manner.
Now that I think of it - that's kinda what smoosh said - with the words in a different order!!

As for respect - everyone is entitled to a certain amount of respect initially as a matter of course. How that respect grows or decays is then down to how people act. For example, if you are meeting somone for the first time or you've been invited around to somebody's house for dinner as you've just moved into the area, you give those people a certain amount of respect - it's called common courtesy.

hmm, could just be me, but i figured that when without saying, the same as if your the host inviting new people in you need to respect them, get to know them, then you can figure what level of inteligent to use with them.
Firm believer in the golden rule.
Which is going to come back and haunt me, cause i'm farming the piss out of alot of people ingame, and i'm waiting for the shoe to drop LOL
