If admin gave a toss about preserving roleplaying in this game, then he wouldn't have made the post-ascended races so indistinct. The age of the 'race war' and race-orientated gameplay on SGW is dead. Deal with it.

everytime you ascended you should have gotten the 25 bonus on whatever ascended race (in ascended) for example, tolah, 25 more attack potential, if it comes to ascended to a special title, like ancient elder god 250 bonus. That would have made it more interesting in ascended, And also more interesting in main, as more accounts would be ascending when ascended starting costing loads to upgrade to higher and higher levels...And your main account should go like this you got an extra 1% on top of the 5% in whatever group you where, so ancient, an extra 1% ontop of the 5% and that wne tup each time so first ascension, 5% bonuses, then 6% on defence, 5% the rest, then 7% to 5%, and so on...

Agreed.

Not relating to ingame, but roleplay:

The way I see it, at first there was little organisation or identity and so races provided us with that. Over time those races became bland architypes and had served their initial purpose.

Nowdays we have created our own image, roleplay our own 'race'. People know what Omega is. They know what Legion is. Symbols, mythos, players and past wars have created such a strong sense of identity, loyalty and friendship that bonds in race pale by comparrison.

Races almost seem like Roleplay training wheels until we find our own image.

For people who complain about roleplay being dead, action is more powerful then words. Do something about it and maybe, just maybe people will follow your example.

Ingame, not roleplay related:

Tactics, Skill, uniqueness & Gameplay have given way to keeping the majority and new players happy. Again, well thought out and detailed practical solutions in the suggestions area are more effective then verbal complaints without providing alternatives.

Part of the reason role play has died is alliances as mentioned above, part of it is the fact that all the races have the same bonuses, but part of it is completely out of jason's control: the series has ended, the asgard are dead, the replis are as good as dead, the goa'uld as well, and the tauri? Well, who cares about the Tauri The races simply aren't as relevant as they once were....

However, race feelings aren't dead - just look at how many people post in the Race Game in the General race section - maybe we'll see a revival....maybe one day soon

just wondering did ETL give a stamp of approval to disbanding OSL?

I doubt he'd like it... from my experience.

The decision was left to me to make along with the fate of OSL.
I thought long and hard and thought it was a better move.
OSL merged with Delta forming its foundation.
I discussed this with the members of OSL and it went to vote and i had the final say. ETL said that i should do what i feel was right the option is mine to make. I was also not demoted i was promoted.

OSL will be back in the future. But now is not its time.

If we disbanded then we wouldnt of taken all of OSL to Delta.

So lets just stay on topic now shall we?

Delta Allegiance was born on the week end. There has been alot of work put in and it has paid off.

You guys expanding well not really since OSL is gone, but i have a feeling OSL was never that much of a part of OE than Delta will ( or seems to ) be.
