I guess it all boils down to your approach to the game. Theres a lot to be said for those that build from the ground up without spending their hard earned cash. That's a great achievement and one to be proud of.
As for myself I look at this as my primary form of entertainment. My career puts me on the road a lot so it's a great way to unwind in the hotel and a fun hobby at home. I look at it like I look at most things I enjoy. I'm a musician, saxophonist more precisely, so my horn is my life and the money goes into it like no other thing. My guitar however is a less professional and more personal interest. I've got all kinds of money in it but I also have countless hours of practice time. Applying that to SGW yes I have a lot of $ invested in my account, but again I have those hours of my time invested. For that price I have a host of new friends, memories of good conversation, and a feeling of belonging to a vast community of peers.

Small question big answer but I guess it means to each their own.

Keep having fun:) I know I will

iv spent about 100 bucks, maybe 150 over the time iv been playing
as said someone has to pay for the server etc this game is hosted on.

but for people who think people use $$$ to buy their way into the game...
just cause someone has 200mill army size cause they spent a ton of $$$
dosent make all 1337 and **Filtered** cause they got a half decent account

its all about the player behind it

I have all of that, and then some. And I didn't have to spend a dime. There's something to be said about not having to buy your friends. ;)

That was harsh, Jack.
