I support Bush. I also support the war on Terror and the war in Afghanistan and Iraq.
First off I would like to say that the above statement was not a typo. Some people DO support the war and our Commander in chief. People claim the war in Iraq was/is an unjust war. Some would even argue that Bush should be tried for starting an aggressive war. The Nuremberg trials ended up creating a set of rules to govern humanity. An aggressive war was a part of those rules. An aggressive war is a war launched without reason. I brought up Nuremberg for a reason. Sadamm Hussein committed crimes against humanity. Is deposing a brutal dictator, who used gas against people in Iraq, the Kurds, and also launched Gas on Iran wrong? Hussein was a Genocidal Dictator. After World War II did we not vow to never let something like that happen again? If you need anymore reasons to war with Iraq I will call you soulless. Currently Genocide occurs in other parts of the world, sadly not enough is done. In Iraq, something has been done. After the Iraqi Regime was destroyed a New Government had to be formed. This country also was highly volatile. There were many religious differences and the presence of Jihadists. Jihadists were apart of the picture due to this "[T]he ruling to kill the Americans and their allies - civilians and military — is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it, in order to liberate the al-Aqsa Mosque (in Jerusalem) and the holy mosque (in Makka) from their grip, and in order for their armies to move out of all the lands of Islam, defeated and unable to threaten any Muslim. This is in accordance with the words of Almighty Allah, 'and fight the pagans all together as they fight you all together,' and 'fight them until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah" Bin Laden announced a Jihad against non muslims in 1998. Over the course of the years the country has stabilized. The United States suffered only 20 casualties in the month of May 2008. Progress has been made in that land. Progress has been made in a country that was under the reign of a mad man. Is Freedom not something to fight for? Is it not a duty of humanity to stop unjust mass murder? If you disagree with that, then yes Iraq is an unjust war.
Now onto people who say that all of our current wars have not made us safer. Have you seen the news? Have you not heard of all the TSA findings stating how they snuck a bomb onto a plane? Now why did no Terrorist attack occur after 9/11 on US soil? [T]he ruling to kill the Americans and their allies - civilians and military — is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it, in order to liberate the al-Aqsa Mosque (in Jerusalem) and the holy mosque (in Makka) from their grip, and in order for their armies to move out of all the lands of Islam, defeated and unable to threaten any Muslim. This is in accordance with the words of Almighty Allah, 'and fight the pagans all together as they fight you all together,' and 'fight them until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah." I cite this again. The goal of these extremists is to expel the infidel from the "Holy Land" The United States is safer today than it was. That is a fact. No Terrorist attack has occurred on U.S. soil since 9/11.
I also do not believe George Bush "does not care about black people." What happened in New Orleans was not the Federal Governments fault. The blame needs to be placed on the State and Local level. President Bush said that the relief effort could be federalized but the Governor of the state declined. The Governor who declined just so happened to be a Democrat. The flaw in our system is partisan politics. People love to blame the federal Government, even when there is more screw ups on the State and Local level.
I also believed the tax cuts in 03 and 01 were right. During those times our economy was strong. Today in the US we are facing an economic problem. If those taxes were still in place we would be in even worst trouble. Americans as do people all over the world face shortages on fuel and food. With more of their money going to the Government, we would be in worst shape. Why would we be in worst shape? Because the money that was taken from us would be spent poorly. The Legislation ( Congress approves the budget, not the President) would spend money on silly projects that either do nothing, or not enough. As US citizens we are aware of the blown social programs and wasteful spending. If a Democrat is elected in the Next election the economic burden we are facing now would increase. Democrats are well known for increasing taxes. Those taxes would be put to use in a Socialist Universal Health Care system. Also money would be thrown at the problem in the Housing market. People blame bush and his "oil buddies" for the oil prices. The people who say this are naive and ignorant. The reason oil prices are horrible is because of the increase in demand. China and India, the two most populated countries in the world have increased there demand for Oil. This increase in demand has sparked the rise in oil prices world wide! Are people in France paying at the pump because of Bush as well?
President Bush has not been a bad president. There are factors that were out of his hands that led to the country being this way. Before Bush became president the wheels to this disaster were already turning. Clinton has been considered a good president. He is considered a good president because he "fixed the economy." Yes, money makes the masses happy, however Clinton is to blame for 9/11. Clinton turned down an offer to take bin laden into custody. The Sudanese Government offered him up on a platter. It is Clinton's fault we are fighting a war to protect our kids. He allowed one of the Highest figures on religious extremism to go free. It is now up to Bush to fight this war. A war that could have been prevented.
My question to you all is this. Why do people blame the president whenever the economy is bad? Why do they blame the president when he is fighting a war that has made us safer? They blame him because the economy is bad. George Bush is a powerful man. The economy needs to be stabalized by the development of new energy technologies as well as other factors. The only way George Bush could fix the Economy and get the expensive oil you and all the other ignorant people blame him for to get cheap again is to Nuke China and India as well as other countries. Other than that, Time is all we need. We need to endure the current problems and we will overcome. The Flag will still be there.
God Bless America! God Bless George Bush.
