Is it a fair tactic? Is it honorable?
Maybe its a fair war tactic but not honorable.
I may end up doing this cause it was done to me... but i wouldnt start it.
My two cents.
Yes it's a fair tactic - and I don't think honourable or dishnourable comes into it at all.
If you are somebody's officer, then you are showing loyalty to that person. Therefore, by default, you are showing yourself to be an enemy of your commander's enemy - and therefore a valid target. People seem to have lost the plot about what commander and officer is all about - it isn't simply about receiving bonuses to UP and income - but a baout showing loyalty.
That said, cutting off the supply chain to your enemy is a perfectly valid tactic, and officers are part of that chain, even if they are not directly involved. Look at history - it is replete with real cases of such instances. For example in the Second World War, the Germans cut off British supplies by using U-boats to target US merchant shipping bringing much needed supplies (at a time when the US were not directly involved), whereas the British did the same by attacking German supply convoys. Officers in the game these days can provide a lot of UU to their commanders - and if all of that is removed it can have a significant impact.

Hum de dum.
I'm going to have to disagree with my CO here.
Massing officers is jut a tactic, like any other tactic.. thus it's just a part of the game. There are no "Official rules of SGW warfare" so whatever your enemy thinks up to use against you, you better prepared to suffer that consequence.
What I'm not sure about and would perhaps like some insight to is.. if a massed officer were to retaliate against those who massed him/her would they be tagged as a vulture?

i like demon eater he atleast shows respect to other players. I know its a military tactic, and it is a good one, but atleast give a warning to the unsuspected officer, give him a chance a warning to make a decision. if he wants to stay with his CO then hit him sure all for it, but if he drops his CO then atleast you showed some respect for someone that did nothing to ya. thats my opinion.

I dont think its up to the enemy to give a warning a good commander will say Hey I hit people expect to get massed everyonce in a while.
