Re: Obama wins

If you are not a citizen of the country then your opinioin really doesnt matter. Anti-obama -ers..... ?? .... the slightly more intelligent ones at least, disagree with his policies, not the fact that he is black. To suggest that the majority voted for him because of or in spite of his blackness is retarded.

Healthcare for instance.... I dont appreciate having my taxes even going towards welfare as it is. I do not feel like paying for other peoples medical expenses. Why? several reasons... I'm selfish, I dont make enough money as it is, more taxes suck, people will abuse it. THink of it like a sporting event. A vendor starts handing out free hotdogs, evryone flocks to it, some over and over. THese people would rather wait a bit longer so they can get something free than go to the next shop over and buy one they can easily afford.

So no, universal healthcare is a negative for me. And it really isnt that hard to not get sick.... learn to take care of yourself and it's simple. People going to the doctor for a cold, just so the doctor can tell them to get some bedrest are the same kind of people that will appear in even greater numbers if universal health care is instituted.

And considering there have already been several attempts on him, eventually one may get through, im just saying i wont be surprised.

And
He won more because the rebublicans did such a bad job the last 8 years.
Im not saying he will be a bad president. In fact he will prolly do a good job, i just disagree with some of his views.

oh yeah and hes muslim ;)

On the REAL, you aren't old enough to make assumptions regarding issues like this. You werent even here for Clinton. Fact being you probably get most your quips regarding politics from your parents as most kids do.

Your 19? And I am 17.. Yea, I wasnt here for Clinton right... Also, I dont get my views from my parents, I get my views from the Christian views.

They happen to be the same, cause we are all Christians. So know what your talking about soul edit

No, I know I did not like the tone of your post. If you want to discuss the elections and what not, then keep it to that. >>>Jabs like the one above wont be tolerated<<<, they will be edited/deleted/dumped. If you seem to have a problem following this simple rule, then I just might start handing out warnings, maybe even a ban or two.

the man made it clear. keep personal jabs out.

not everything, but surely a contributing factor

Re: Obama wins

His father is Muslim right? not being discriminative but i thought Americans wouldn't run for that once that came about.

On the other hand... technically he isn't president yet... he is the elected president right? somewhat 60 - 80 days before ceremony of him in....

But yeah not a racist... but the we kinda got bets here that Obama will be assassinated like within the month or something... Bad i know.

on the other hand i hope he can help America out of these times, I'm sure he will do his best and hopefully all the American players here can benefit from that :-D

Re: Obama wins

The deep south has been predominantly republican for a long time. I don't think race is as much a factor in this as democrat critics like to imagine. Religion plays a major part, admittedly, as does economics.

The same can be said of certain areas in the United Kingdom. Over here, many of the more affluent areas (such as those in the rural south, or top residential districts of major cities) are what's known as "true blue." Even during the Labour landslide in 1997, these counties all remained Conservatives. Every part has it's "safe seats."

Re: Obama wins

yes, i appreciate that certain area's vote for a certain party almost garunteed.

however, from some perspectives the deep souths voting does look slightly racist. It was commented recently on (BBC?) that "if Obama loses, the USA will be percieved as racist"

also, there is a lot of talk about changing views by other countries of america. this might be true in parts, but i'm sure the russians and chinese will dislike you americans just as much as before lol

Kit-Fox wrote:Europe can and does protect itself, US involvement is irrelevant.

You dont protect us, in fact the nuclear protection of the EU is taken on mostly by France as the only true independant EU nuclear power but also by the UK too a lesser extent (mostly as ours isnt truely independant, ie raw materials)

Other forms of protection are again mostly done by the european countries that need such protections such as italys rather good intelligence service or spains excellent police/peace force.

You (read: US) only like to think you protect the world, you dont. get over it already
