To the victor go the spoils, no reason to have 2nd/3rd place until there are more than half a dozen entries I would say

That would work, if he'll do it. I might have to get a carrot on a stick and dangle it in front of his nose.

Quite right =)

I'm planning on posting links to this in the general forum and a few others, I'd like to get as many people voting on this as I can to make it a more community involved thing so I'll be seeing if anybody from other forum sections will donate prizes and if I can encourage more to participate. If we get lots of people voting it should turn out to be quite good.

maybe if you ask nicely you can get lore or someone else with the ability to global it :P

It might be useful to 'complete' this week's competition before trying to pull in more of the community.

Having one successfully completed week, people may be more confidant about joining in, sigs or donations wise.

My intention was actually to have the community vote on the sigs.

That's true. I might just post it on dA, then, and have the sig voted upon by a random group of people. We'll probably get alot mroe votes and it won't be swayed in anybody's favour.

Or u could do it how they do in street art competitions, there are 3 points: 2 judges and each has a point to give to their winner, the crowd (forumers in this case) has 1 point.

Basicly u asign some judges for the competition who have 3 points to give to 1st, 2 points to the 2nd and 1 point to the 3rd. Then the forumers can have their pole on who they think is the best. Round up your scores and theres your winner, or losers, watever way u look at it.

lol no, I'd get in big crap if I posted anything directly on dA firstly because none of it is my work and secondly because so much stock (and things not supposed to be used as stock) are being used without permission or reference. I'll think of something good, though. Perhaps the fellows at sGFX and DEC (For those of you who aren't familiar with DEC, it's the home of MasterWorks, some of the greatest designers and resource providers) would like to vote.

I like this idea for voting... probably easiest and best.
