My mom works with autistic children, does alot of relief work. So i have a idea how hard it can be sometimes, and how sometimes the little things are really big for them

Eelyzabth wrote:setting to peace... my 9 year old is borderline autistic spectrum, he too has a fasination with numbers, and loves watching me play ( although he best likes watching me raid/mass and counting up the damage lol ) JJ is luckily not noticably autistic to any degree, most people just see a kid that has trouble concentrating in class(except during maths and ICT), and difficulties fitting in sociably, and who happens to be scarily intelligent (a full year ahead of the rest of his class, which is a mix of his age group and the year above!)
Most people tend not to understand the difficulties involved, these kids are on an emotional rollercoaster, and we as parents, get dragged along for the ride.
Good luck with your mission
It started out that way with Andrew (Mosiah) as well he would watch ad my numbers and give me totals every turn. He is setting here at his desk sending out replys now. If you have not gotten one yet I'm sure you will. It takes a little time for each one. I'm asking him to reply to anyone that sent him a message. To my surprise he is not fighting me to much about doing it. I may or may not let him read a few of the post here on the forums with me later on today.

I'm coming before the Community at this time to ask something of all the big major alliances and empires. My foster son Mosiah has been playing this game for around two years now. He is 15 and has Autism.
Hey mate, been a while.
I've known taddpole for a long time in this game and he's one of the most genuine people I know around here. Nice thing to see what you are doing for your foster Son.
I'm not sure if I've spoken with him before? The name Mosiah doesn't sound familiar, but i'm pretty sure i've spoken with your son when I used to play.
Anyway looks like the community is coming together to help out which is a rare thing these days.
Reading this almost made me think of logging in and passing over all my spare resources that i have laying around my account and even making him my only officer and letting my account sit there..... but well I haven't logged in for over 2 months and not sure if i'd want to tempt fate. :S
Would be interesting to know how many peace settings he has. i'm sure he's counting the number of messages he's getting.

Hey there Clarkey how have you been? I don't think you ever talked to Mosiah. I know you talked to my Bio son when we all were in the same alliance years ago.

I wish it was that easy to say he was opening up, I'm setting here next to him with my laptop asking him to reply to the next message. I'm pushing him to do it. On the bright side he is doing it with out a lot of fuse. This is a huge step for him because he does not know any of you. Trust is something hard for him to come by.

Mordack wrote:Honestly, I don't think anybody should realistically come onto a game like this one and expect to receive special treatment; regardless of their RL circumstances. We all have problems of varying degrees. I have a lot of sympathy with what you're trying to do, but I wouldn't be too hard on anybody who doesn't comply with your request. Also bear in mind that a lot of people don't use the forums, and that some people, perhaps due to past experience, are often suspicious of requests of this nature.
I declared peace because I have some experience dealing with autistic people, who are often much maligned and misunderstood, and also because I'm just generally in a bit of a good mood at the moment. It's either the gin or the weather. Good luck with this thread, and good luck to you and your son in the game.
Exactly i have anxiety and OCD i dont ask for peace setting but in all honesty im not gonna be a prick so ill set him peace
