you get about 16800 before the change which went up about 4100 which is a 24.5% increase.
This is a benefit.
There is a second hidden benefit to this but I will let people try to work that one out themselves since it's somewhat strategic.
What are you referring to? What are these numbers? I don't see it.
Anyways, I don't know what all the outrage is about. I didn't even notice something had changed until is saw that 5 pages of posts had just appeared overnight. I thought, well, let's go see how bad it really is. I had my forces pretty well balanced, approximately (attack:defense) 1:1. Now they're at 1.2:1 with less than 3% drop in the total sum of attack and defense. With the recent drop in the price of a defensive weapon, I'll soon make up for the change. On the other hand, the effect this has on my offense is significant. I need fewer weapons to reach the same strike capabilities, which translates to fewer repairs, and in the end saving naquadah.
For those who claim they've lost millions of points, just a simple question. Did you really need those tens of millions you (must have - or i don't see how you could lose millions) had before the update? There's only very few players with scores to match those, and they have been toned down as well.
I hope people will take forum's advice and just try out their new abilities before complaining about them. Maybe you'll see the benefit in time.
As soon as you build an idiot proof system, somebody else builds a better idiot.
If it moves, kill it. If it doesn't move, kick it until it does move, and then kill it.
