Messi

On the bench

Changed Inamoto to Pienaar as I guess Pienaar will do more.
And since you mention Gallas, that makes me wonder what to do with France player I can align along with Evra...Keep Govou, change to Henry? Gallas? Malouda? Gourcuff? So much choices...then temptation of bringing Villa in comes.

It's such a pain to choose!

Very bad substitutes you said? I hope you don't include Cissé in the "very bad". [-X :smt047

Daniel Alves, Cisse and whichever keeper gets benched are my good subs everyone else cost around 1 :-D

Except Duda, I think he cost 5 :O

Stuck with Castillas as keeper for now, but I may switch to Khune

I'm allowed to be optomistic my keeper will do hero moves like he did last year against Spain

Here's my team -

GK: Reina
DEF's: Heitinga, Maicon, Pique, Terry
MID's: Kaka, Lampard, Ribery, Schweingsteiger
ATT's: Messi, Ronaldo

SUB GK's: K. Myong Won, Bannatyne (? lol...)
SUB DEF's: Neill, Jacobsen, Nelsen
SUB MID's: Y. Toure, K. Nakamura, Pienaar, Emerton
SUB ATT's: Gronkjaer, Milito, Suazo.

Now I'd say that's a very good and balanced team with a decent selection of substitutions.

CASILLAS
LAHM
SAMUEL
JOHNSON
LAMPARD
SCHWEINSTEIGER
SNEIJDER
ELANO
TORRES
ROBBEN
MESSI

with simao and maicon being my only mentionable subs. but this will undoubtedly change, as i'm unhappy with my team already only representing 6 teams xD

I would've thought you would've put Gerrard in midfield considering he is once again captain of England

David Villa or Cristiano Ronaldo?

Not that I intend to get rid of Ronaldo, but I'm strongly thinking about adding Villa in my team. Such a waste to miss all the likely goals he's going to score.

Ronaldo is slighty over rated, while Villa is indeed a top class forward.

Aye, at international level ronnie never looks the same player while villa actually looks better with xavi/iniesta pulling the strings.

Still ronaldo > Villa at club level

DD...i would change your keeper around Reina will only play in Spains last group game if they are already though...But if you are having trouble picking a keeper may i recomend the North Koren keeper..He is a super stopper and one on ones the striker has no chance....He gets his football lessons from his and his countrys number one fan the supreme leader...( i can't put what i want to put in here cause they is a good chance i would be banned but we have all seen Team America.....f....yea..)
My Mcdonnals little figure man is in homage to the great man himself and the team that is going to shock the World when they win the World cup

I think i might have had a bit to much sun and one to many paintballs to the head today...

Villa is pure forward while Ronaldo can do more roles (normally a midfielder, and picked as forward this time).
Well, thing is Villa will face less hard to beat teams. Chile is the only real challenge for Spain (Honduras and Swiss have few good players but I do think Spain will score against them), while Portugal will face two worthy teams.
