we found lots and lots of wraiths to be effective against both air forces and kerrigan... combined with lots and lots of missile turrets and a few bunkers & perdition turrets... we had a few battlecruisers as well, but with kerrigan around they were woefully fragile...

we probably did poorly on our upgrades throughout the campaign... ended up having too scattered upgrades... (like upgrading units we barely used after the mission we got them)

It depends on what mission you are fighting on.

Ground - Bunker up, flame turrets, missile turrets here or there, tanks, and Thors with Vikings to kill the air/Leviathan. Rebuild after Kerrigan comes.

Air - I had a small force of Marines, Medics, and Marauders at each base with 6 Siege Tanks each side with massive Missile Turrets and a few Flame Turrets. In order to counter the air, I had a crap ton of Vikings and Missile Turrets on the back and front of my base.

When Kerrigan came, I moved my infantry over to the appropriate side and dealt with her. Rebuilt them afterwards.

Very easily lost, but very easily won if done correctly.

if you go the route that has the final battle be nydus worm based, 10-16 banshees can kill off the worms fairly easily, leaving the rest for ground army to hold off the waves and stop kerrigan. i had ground forces on both sides able to take her, the problem was when the worms spawned with 3 on one side, the sudden surge was too hard for my not completely established defenses and one side winds up folding temporarily.

we think we were a little breaking in the last battle we had...

the breakdown for buildings destroyed:
opponent one: 8
opponent two: 9
Ally: 13
Us: 130

Its amazing how effective 20ish Brood lords and 50ish zerglings are at tearing buildings apart...
