At first, I disliked him too. He appeared to be too timid. That changed.

Noobert, Didnt the original Spartacus from season 1 die in real life? I heard he had cancer or something like that....

But yeah the new season looks really good!

Yes, he did but I prefer him to this one. This one seems..not like Spartacus. Maybe the old actor grew on me. Who knows?

Yeah I agree, way better. This one is too much of a hollywood guy trying to be like a old brute of the days. The original spartacus, from what I have heard, ate, sleeped, and breathed the show and his character. He portrayed his character better then the new guy. I just cant believe its the 3rd season all ready, S:Gods of the Arena (Season 2) was pretty good, but first was better. This new one looks like more fighting and gore =D> it might actually help the fact of a "Sucky" actor :-D

I agree the new actor playing Spartacus is lame, he is to young, built like a beach bum not a fighter, talks all soft and just doesnt have the right attitude or authority about him. Hell I recon I could take him in fight, I wouldnt have messed with the old one.

Also how the hell did the wife survive ??? Thats just plain stupid.

I will keep watching for now but this episode did not live up to expectations and if it dont improve I will ditch the series.

He will grow more strategic. The real Spartacus was -at the time of the rebellion- 'older', and as relatively easy to take as a 'regular' streetfighter. ;) Now, Oenomaus.. *yummy*

Lucy Lawless = cool. No reason why she should not live. :P

lol the real Spartacus, I luvs ya Jo Jo because you make me laugh, this is not the History channel it's Tits & Ass plus Blood & Guts show, reality and historical accuracy have nothing to do with it. If I recall correctly the real Spartacus never wanted to bring down Rome, he tried to escape Italy and got betrayed, he only turned and fought when cornered and had no choice as he knew he would lose.

With the medical knowledge of the time, she could not have survived an abdominal wound deep enough to kill her unborn baby, simply not possible, and if they were going to magically save a character it should have been Batiatus who was the best and funniest character in the other two series.

I didn't like the episode as much.

Honestly, I think they should just focus on the porn and turn it into an expensive porn show.

That's the only way I see them saving whatever viewers they might still have left by mid season 2
