Hmm 5 pages already.

Firstly i'd like to address the silence thing.... I was out cutting the grass on a nice sunny day. My silence had no other meaning besides i was not at my computer.

Now i'd like to address RoKeT as a Mod.... RoKeT has not been a Mod on this forum before and has never had a role with any sort of authority on this forum, therefore I don't believe he can be "judged" as a Mod until he performs that role. Once he has performed that role only then can you judge. What did he do to get the Mod role? He obviously wrote a very good application that was accepted by various staff. Also people that know RoKeT would agree that his "hot headedness" is kept at bay these days, and I applaud him for that.

As for what have I done. Well for a start I can tell you that I have not sucked up to any of the admins. I have in fact applied I think twice before for a Mod position and got denied both times. Third time lucky. I have evidence of my time as a Blue Mod in For Admin and General to back up my application. My past is an open book on these forums and therefore nothing was hidden. many will not agree with my new position, but also many will agree. This is my second chance, and my final chance. One that I will not screw up this time.

As much as people would like to say otherwise, the forums are a pretty integral part of the game (just ask any of the egos or traders), which need to have rules enforced by mods.

The mod team volunteers to do something that often gets anger on them (this thread is a perfect example, though mild comparatively), and the admin team thought that these mods would work well as mods and decided to give them a chance or a second chance. It's as simple as that.

mods should be people who have a good constant! record who earn respect and alot of players like them that way people will listen to them more and will benefit forums more not hiring people who every h8ts over wise no ones going to take a blind notice of them.. and just going to cause arguments.

Well the question deserved a direct answer. I understand your views and i'm sure many will support your views. However, not everyone hates me as you say they do.

Maybe judge my performance in a few months time.

People can have enemies and friends, yet still be a good mod. If you had to be well liked, it would turn mod ship into a popularity contest. A good mod will act the same to someone they have hated and someone they have been friends with, and will work to enforce the rules fairly for everyone.

People not liking a mod is not a good example. Many people are liked and disliked by different people or groups. If that were a requirement, I'm afraid I wouldn't be here. I also imagine most other mods have received similar pm's about being hated or how they shouldn't be a mod, however those who deserve to be a mod can get past these remarks and treat everyone fairly.

My past (bad) actions may not have deserved my return to modship, but my future actions will surely deserve my return to modship.

Judge myself, RoKeT and the other new/returning Mods once we've performed the roles, as I said only then can a true judgement of performance be made.
