Reasons are simple back in 05-07 Online games where simple text based role play meets social network site.

This site is less role play and more Social Network thats one of the problems.


*php games are old now face it nobody wants to look at writing and math all day the only thing that kept people here was that it had affiliation to Stargate which made people come play because its the only descent 1 on the net.

*Java Games with pictures that move like *Ev*ny* filtered as im not here to recruit for another game if you know of it you will know that its like this game BUT has pictures and more strategy which keeps people interested.Its even a social website for most aswel.when things get boring people chat and have fun but you never get tired of beating up someone (gatewars is to click this and it happens)

*New Era php textbased MMORPG's where made LONG ago for what you might say? Dial up users with low internet capabilities words load quicker than pictures.Now adays look what we are looking at high speed Fiber Optic lines and world records starting at 1GB/s speeds.So now Pictures that move actually become more Interesting and exciting even if they are the same as this but with some animation work its back up and running generating k's-millions of players monthly.

*php in its time became quite popular they where Everywhere ,everyone made them everyone wanted to play them.Now Java based Games with a user friendly interface has replaced it.And guess what they are everywhere. I can name atleast 15 that have popped up this year allone.

Summary

With the new competition ,this Game as it is now .has no chance of Improvement player number wise unless Admin J knows Java Coding and has a gfx designer handy.

Ok lets compare this to a human life.

Like this game it has a beginning and will have an end.

When you're 10 do you say you're dying? because technically you are. You are always getting ever closer to death as time passes. Same with this game. Do we know when we will die? no but we can guess based on health and statistics of the human life. Try doing that with an MMORPG game. I'd love to see the figures.

1 thing is that everyone has a different Opinion about dying.

Mine = a game with less than 50k Active players is dead.

Yours could be its still got 2k so its not dead.

This is basically a business with low Customers and a blind owner which makes money off it so he's happy.

This game has never had anywhere close to 50,000 active players at a time. I think of it as a matter of advertising. Jason doesn't do any advertising. People in this thread say it's the social aspect, I totally agree. The game itself is simple, the community is not. We should recruit **Filtered** of people, try and get as many who'd be interested into it. It's a fun game, it can take as much or as little time as possible. It's got a hell of a community and a hell of a track record.

SGW just needs some revamping.

I came back. This game is easy to get hooked on if people give it a chance, but, it being text based, most people won't give it a chance. I know it's been said many times, just reminding people of the obvious.

yes which brings me back to this game has never really lived.and wasn't advertised properly in 05 which spiked its downfall.

i can see this game in the next 2 years with only 50 players total.

If the interface was done up and grtaphics added for a lot of things.. then that would be enough to make it more attractive to newer players. Just saying.. its a matter of bothering to do something.

actually it won't :/ help at all.

the main page looks alright to the rest of us then when some one else looks at it they say its extremely boring and ugly.

We are in a new era of Animation.Sea moving ,birds flying and sky moving effects.

Do any of you that say "Jason doesn't advertise the game" actually know this for a fact? No, you can't know because it's not true.
Jason does advertise the game and I do know this for a fact. I don't know where or how often the SGW advertisement banner comes up, but he does advertise it and pays a few cents to the page for every click from that page. It's a fact.

I'm not really satisfied personally with main page, not to talk about ascended login page lol!

I liked what that guy called Photonic proposed as graphics, sadly he seems to have left the game and his graphics will probably never be implemented...
