so many names so many friends drift apart some stay some go some come back to check every now and then its an addiction

the game has changed for the worse I think but still we come back

its an addiction - or do we come back to remember who we once were and are no longer or to recapture something lost

or do we come back to remember when this game was great and can be once again the ever hopeful of change in the wind

I actually miss the old race-roleplaying.

I think all the big bad guy alliances decided they wanted to be System Lords. That didn't leave much room for other things. It's okay, us noble Tauri will rid the galaxy of you snakehead scum

I like coming back here to remind me of the work that I used to do, the effort that I used to put in. It feels like I was a better person back then.

Yes, the old race RPs were the best.

I don't remember many prominent asgard or tauri RPers, I just remember our competition were mainly replicators.

Well tauri roleplaying is basically just being yourself. We of course had our people try to be snarky Jack Oneill clones but it was never as huge of a thing as rp'ing as a different race.

There were quite a few Asgard only alliances that focused on a peaceful, defensive way of playing. That style really took a big beating though as defenses became easier to mass and resources were so much more plentiful. Shoot, all rp'ing took a big hit once ascension happened and all the "asgards" became "ancients" or "tauri" became "tollan". At least you could guess that nano-ti-masters were somehow still replicators and of course system lords were just more powerful goa'uld. Noone wants to be a tollan.

Yeah, I never really got why we hated each other so much instead of our classical enemies - ie: I don't remember much repli/asgard hatred. Suppose some of the biggest characters in the RP game were repli/snake at the time (Esker/Jaxin, etc).

Weirdly I first started as an asgard....

Yeah alot of the guys actually turn back up every now and then, I PM them when I see them I actually received a FB off esker a week ago which I need to reply too come to think of it....
