Meh, basically, the majority would rather have cheaters than spending 5secs of their time typing a code in.

You already have the code in the bank area, but I see no complaints about that? Besides... if you dont like using 5secs of your spare time, there is always ATW, TAW, WW2. Just play one of those instead

You miss the point, the code is not browser friendly for everyone, some cannot see it at all. If you cant see it in the bank you can spend your naq on weapons, thats why theres no bank related complaints.

and I wont play one of those other rip of games as tgw is the original

It is not often I get wound up - but are you completely ignorant of everything that has been said here.

Let me re-iterate.

1. People did not like to input there email before - not many other games do it (unless related to this one) - so adding something else to input is worse.

2. The login code is made worse still because people can now no longer login using their mobile phones.

3. The login code is meaningless as scripts can be easily written to read codes or to autorefresh the page once already logged in - hence keeping the account logged in.

4. To answer your point about the bank code specifically - correct, mobile users cannot see that either - but they don't need to as they can spend the naq instead of banking it!

Next time, read the damn thread before putting in worthless comments!

AND, ONE FINAL POINT - given what I have said above - in that the code is completely worthless - can those people who voted that it was a good idea please justify their vote by posting their reasons here???

i actually am curious as to how often he reads the forums...l i posted 4 spelling errors several days ago... and they have yet to be fixed....

Please can you read my posts with more attention i suggested also a way to make this the case , but forumn has not implemented it yet.

Slightly inconvinient? I'd say it would be a complete lala up! Everyone booted off at the end of a turn then, everyone all trying to log on at the same time so they can attack. If something like that came along it would be the death of this game.

Whats the difference (sever lag wise) from everyone simply attackign right at the start of the turn and everyone logging in nd then attacking.
Im no expert ... but id say it was minimal , Besides SGW has a brand new server i think its time to test it

This adds unnessary strain on the server and is easily bypassable. and it also adds to the loading time for the site. not to mention its a graphic that needs infromatino and needs to be checked. i understand that there is a need to get rid of cheaters but this doesn't do it.

Why dont you suggest something better then instead of just saying "doesnt work" i.e a way to make it work , seeming as you so know SO much abotu how EASY it is for cheaters to get round cheat preventions it should be a walk in the park for you to make the perfect anti cheat system.

All updates are shuned at first but once the bugs in them are cleaned out and they work as they were intended with as little discomfort to the game users as possible then youll get used ot this being a normal part of the game .

i voted NO because i wanna support those who use the mobile phone to log in .Here in my country ( Belgium ) is quiet expensive to use a mobile phone with internet. ( Damm Belgian providers with their high prices ) i did it once and it cost me almost 3 € )

i already hate the banking system it takes too long and its quiet annoying. I dunno if you will remove this last update (login issue) but if you don't please remove the banking system then.

i vote yes. cause while there are programs that read sripts, reading pictures is a lot harder. especially when most programs for reading pictures read only one picture, not 3. i understand that this needs to be revamoed, so how a bout a mobile friendly login of sorts. one designed to pick up if the user is logging in from a mobile, and give them a text code, or somehting like that.

I voted no because I am one of them who connects with a mobile phone/PDA. I usually set my browser to 'no image' so that it downloads faster on the slower wireless speed. Now, not only the image doesn't appear on the mobile phone, I have to wait longer for all the graphics to download on a PDA and scroll down (because all the graphics push the login box down) before I can put my data. Perhaps a more graphic-light login page and cross-browser capability will lead to greater acceptance, but as it stands now, no. The only bright side of this is the fact that the login code is the same as the banking code, so banking is relatively faster.

Well, I am an expert and you are incorrect. We're talking at least 500 hits to the mysql server for login. Probably more like 700 at busy times of the day. Also, there's the sudden surge of bandwith and CPU usage. Just for the simultaneous login of everyone. The MySQL server would be brought to it's knees. It's not an enterprise grade system.

I don't care if this is a new system or not. Take SGW down for 24 hours. Then bring it back up. The sudden rush to login to the system would put the server in flames. Now, you suggest we do this every turn?

With all due respect - indeed - your suggestion to log everyone out at the end of the turn is even more stupid than the suggestion that has been implemented!!!

And would YOU kindly read OTHER peoples posts - the bank code is not as bad for phone users because naq can still be spent - so it does not have to be banked - therefore that code does not matter so much!

Instead of telling other people to read your posts -pay more attention to what others are saying!

Just because it was implemented, it does not mean it was a good idea - FORUM has made some really bad decisions in the past!! Anyone remember Raid the first time around - that was a really bad decision - but not half as bad as this one!

I would also like you to explain how the bugs in this login code update can be ironed out and how it will 'work as intended'?? Many people have already said that it will not do the job it was implemented for!

I log on when Im at my work on my sony ericcson W800i, for some reason it wont show the code boxes and therefore I cannot log on during the day. Its alright for all you guys using firefox and IE but I use opera mini on my mobile phone and this was not even expected.

If this update stays then a lot of good players will just lose interest.

I have always accepted updates and never critisised them before, I am sure Forum means well with the code thing and will review it accordingly when more people disapprove.

If he records everything you do anyway... why does he check for patterns in actions such as ones made every so often in exact time increments meaning a script... why not stop the script users at the source by detecting them as opposed to trying to stop the scripts, which will always find a way around
