I haven't read through the rest of the topic completely *sorry*
But, why would we need more than one Ship?
There is no limit to how many weapons you can add to your ship, so, having more than one will not increase the amount of power, since the Ships power is measured by it's offensive, defensive weapons, and fleet numbers.

Sending out a Ship to find planets would essentially not be a risk, because there would be more ships protecting you.

And, ultimately, top players would hold a substantially larger amount of ships than lower ranks, adding yet another stat which makes it harder to catch up on.

but he does have a point will the "fleet" have its own stat or will it be part of the already existing MS stat? if it has its own stat then it will be uber hardto cathc up to the higher rank considering they make a very large amount of naq a day, and they could easily build more fleets then the "new players can in months" that and it will be easier to mass someone ><

exactly the reson im for this idea :D lol, just kiddin. i think its got merit (as i did suggest summin simmilar way back on myself, look up transport ships i think), but needs a few major face lifts, mainly, as you said, all those poor little noobs back there happy making 1mil a turn *quickly steps outside to laugh his head off* wont have any where near as good a chance as some of us at ranking. and besides, massing is fun! as for the comment earlier on by someone about "then you just send one ship out to look for planets and are still protected by others", i think that this would be remidied by sending the whole fleet out, and anyway, there aint ne planets left out there! so even if we sent millions of ships to comb the space with really large hair combs, we still wouldnt come back with a planet (probobly a few broken combs though, lol). neway, sorry bout the long post.

I still want to see this..

IMO people dont want to have new attakcs, or be able to take mroe or even be able to have huge defences.

ALL THEY WANT IS A FLEET OF SHIPS !

no they dont have to be a stat :P but a means of like transportation, add extra dmg to strike N defense, fight other fleets. stuff in that nature :P

I like the idea of having fleats

like the idea of have unlimited amuount of hatak fleets with no limits

with this idea

you can only repaire them if you land them for 24 hours

they can only land with ship docks

I agree with the idea, but to add on to your thoughts, there should be types of MS, like defensive or offensive, like your troops. Because people would then be able to buy tons of MS, making people even harder to destroy, I believe they should cost a lot more that the original MS price, 450mil. Having many MS instead of just one would be a great idea, and it would make things more realistic and interesting.

i was thinkin along 6 bil, because 1 is pretty easy to get, through trades in the market, which if u have a uu of about 5k, then you can get 3 bil in 3 days, which would really suck. and adding to what someone said previously, there should be a limit to the amount of weapons, shields, and "gliders" in each MS, so as not to undermine each one. and because of this thought, which i am looking to be pretty expensive, the cost to make weapons, shields, and hangers should be upgraded dramatically as well, which makes anyone who reads this probably wanting to kill me. :D
