Well said, can someone please stop dancing around the question and answer it. I don't care about ETL or JaseB and their situation. I want to know "how" to refuse a cash gift and why noone seems to have been told.

It is a war tactic and one I have seen used before and one I have concidered using myself hence my interest in this thread.

jaseb wasnt buying etl a ppt. he was trying to use a "donation" to get etl to go past the limits as imposed by the rules, and use them to remove etl from ppt.

you should have known better than to try and basically cheat the system. When trading for a ppt, with $$$ or ingame goods, you GET 48 HOURS. thats the deal. no punk from somewhere else can try to remove you from ppt, or whatever. just think what will happen if this had worked. SCG replicator had a trill naq out the other day. i could have bought him a ppt, stole the trill naq, raided the 600k uu, and sold them for more money. ppt would become useless within 30seconds after that. no more saving for spy levels, no more saving naq for friends, or whatever. no more taking vacations for 2 days from the game, safe from attacks.

stop trying to get around the rules, and just agree that you didnt think it through. you made the mistake, not forum. it says you get 2 days protection, and you should have known better than to try and cheat that out from someone.


as for refusing ppt, in this case, its done by the game automatically to prevent a situation where the basis of the income is destroyed. you can also go spy someone, and it will have the same effect if it comes to that

I was buying it for him to get the 48 hrs ppt.

OK most of that made no sense to me. This is my take on it maybe it will make it so you can understand my cofusion.

When I was in generastions we went to war. Zaphor I think was his name. He went on ppt and we then paid $$ and put him on ppt again. This cancelled his first ppt and used 1 of his MT for the week. He then had used 2 MT and 2 for ppt so He couldn't go on ppt again that week. He returned to go on ppt again and couldn't. We then crushed his account as he had no way to stop us and we knew exactly when his ppt ended.

You say you can't knock someone off ppt? we did Zaphor.
If ETL had used 1 ppt it should have worked. If he used 2 ppt's then he shouldn't have been on ppt after the 48 hrs was up.

Which was my plan exactly, tho some1 forgot to mention the rules had changed.

Ingame mail & Misc
Ingame mail system has had a bit of an update, to make it easier to manage your communications. Notably, there is now an outbox, and saved box. You can also sort your mail by clicking the headings 'from', 'to', 'subject', and 'date'. Clicking them again changes the order between increasing & decreasing.
Donating for another account - this is still possible, but now requires the other user to have 'allow donations from others' allowed. This allow/disallow is set in the preferences screen - the same one as vacation and email changes.

I wouldn't go that far. Maybe ETL was just one of the beta testers for that perticular update. There is no way this could have come about after/when you purchased the ppt for him. I mean be real here you think he saw you buy the ppt, called admin and got it changed that quick? I just dont beleive that possible.

He didn't relise until i told jake a day later. He then emailed admin. Thats how you refused.

First off can ETL/Forum please post here to explain this, because until they do the theories will just continue.....

Lets run with ETL being a beta tester.....he still shouldn't be allowed to use this in an ongoing war with the EPA....heck, its as good as exploiting a loophole.

Maybe ETL knew how to reject the ppt all along, and no one else in the community did, so Forum thought he'd update the updates....

I'm not saying ETL is cheating, but I do want to know how ETL knew about this before it was even posted on the updates....

What an absolute joke. SGW has been sold out! The game, the concept everything. It has never been a secret ETL got on well with Jason (admin), however, not for one minute has anyone thought that the integrity of this game would be decimated as a result of this friendship.

OMEGA rule the game. I bow down to you. I will now once again delete my account. You cannot be beaten.

Why?

Because you write the damn rules!! Change SGW to Omega. Why should anyone support this site or play it for one god damn more second knowing that no matter what they do or how they do it, the game will alter to protect ETL and his alliance.

In other words, you can never win.

What a shame, it was a bloody good concept this game.
