Plus I was an asgard in Q once, and im a System Lord in main. That last one alone is reason enough for me to go where ever i want.

Sorry, I'm an SL but I'm planning to become an Ancient one day.

im always alone with no friends so ...

i like helping ^_^

everyone likes to help, and besides, the race someone chooses to play as usually tells alot about them
Asgard/Ancients seem to value helping, defensive playing, and normally just being selfless
Goa'uld/System Lord like the race bonus of 25% income, showing money is more important and tend to be greedy
Replicator/NanoTiMaster have the covert bonus, usually nosy and want to know what everyones up to, spying so they know what people are capable of
Tauri/Tollan have the attack bonus, strike first, ask questions later, they will help others occasionally

but thats just my view and opinion, so feel free to completely disregard it

i was an ancient but only for the defense bonus
then i found out that ascended races dont get the bonus so im now an SL

so i think that you hypotheses is right as im generally a self absorbed person that thinks hes better than everyone else
