The difference is, if you train them as miners, they make a lot of naq. If you train them to attackers, they make no naq, and at the same time you're giving up the chance of profitable attacks. Try making an attack with a 50M attackers army, see how many you lose, and how much damage your weapons get. I'd rather sit on a 50M miner income.

That's what I thought. Give up your income for stats, sooner or later someone will take notice and relieve you of some of those stats.

and once they do, your account will be 0... or close to 0

the cia cop war will go on for a looooong time, unless this was made then it would be hard to buy a 50bil strike mass everyone buying ATs all the time and farming everyone, once you run out of stats and income is lowered a lot it will be hard to do anything at all.

why not a mothership strike, you fly your ms on over to their realm and disable the enemies mothership, once they are adrift in space you can start shooting their mines from space like with those strong ori blasts....

costs 99 turns, and IF your mothership is better than theirs, you can start killing (providing they have no defense (maybe no attackers or spies either)) their miners... maybe .1% of total miner/lifers? or another small number like that.

i think we already agreed that killing miners is BS but lifers is an acceptable option. it gives the balance between being able to hurt people and protecting people from being wiped out completely

because some people might have a very large number of miners and a very small number of lifers... then this wouldnt do much to hurt their income once they are out of lifers they cant be 'hurted income' anymore :-)

and that is the point, you can only destroy someone's account to a certain potin. admin doesn't want to make people quit the game.

and besides even if you'd set it to 0.025% of miners killed per 15 at's i'd be personally loosing over 12k miners per attack.
The bottom line is that no one will agree to allow miners being killed because then you can literally make someone delete. Whereas killing lifers sets you a limit on how much you can "kill" someone

ok make the 'kill lifers' button like the ascended attack, it takes a certain amount of time, like 30 minutes to kill those '12k' lifers so you cant be massed and lose a mil lifers in a minute.

maybe you can send spies on a suicide bombing thing where they sneak into mines and blow it up killing lifers.... but you can only kill like 5lifers per spy so to kill 5mil lifers you would have to sacrifice 1mil spies?????????????

*not suggesting it be 5 just throwing anumber out into the open to see if it could work and it might could give me your ideas people!!!!!!!!!

edit: or a new unit type, specifically trained to go to enemy realms and die.......... :? lol

I know waht you could call the button

invade

you invade the enemy realm and assault their mines. the miners have fled just the lifers that are bound to the mines remain at the mercy of your tropps. of course the mines are vast and chances of finding lifers is low.
and if you do such an attack, it's a prolonged operation. you cant attack anyone else in the next 30 mins (and you kill lets say 0.5% of enemy lifers)
Costs: 50 at's

I would not like to see being able to kill lifers if you sacrifice your spies. If it goes on percentages then the smaller players can't be affected so severly as large players can.

and no realm can have 2 invaders at the same time?

i dunno... i kinda like to see the button called "hurt income" :-D

can someone please let forum know so he can tell us if this idea has even .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 and 1/2 %chance of being made??????????

agree, because killing lifers in the enemy mines is such a lengthy an expensive process and must be without interference (friend or foe) which means it works like a normal attack and if you have power left you go kill enemy lifers (dunno, say 500k-1 mil power for each lifer killed)

Example:
Your strike 30 Bil
Enemy Def 15 Bil
You beat the enemy def and are left with 15 Bil power then you'd be able to kill a max of 15k-30k lifers (depending whether you'll need 500k or 1 mil power ot kill a lifer)

I dont like the idea of miners/lifers being killed :cry:

If you want to have it so miners/lifers are not invincible then why not have it so you can attack and if you have enough power then the enemy miners/lifers get stunned, meaning they stop working for about 12 hrs so that income is hurt only.

Would not mind that happening, but I cant see many liking the idea of them being killed.

would be better to have them "disabled" rather than killed...

maybe if attack beats defense, they go into mines and beat as many lifers as possible on the head, causing them to be out of action for x hrs... (maybe 24 or so)

but also have a function where a player can execute his own lifers... (for free of course)

if someone executed his own lifers just to make room for others what would stop all of his units from rebelling and killing you?

allright.... only 1 invade can be used every 4 hours, on a single realm, and it costs 99 turns and the realm that was invaded gets half income for 4 hours?
is that what your trying to say?

the thing that would stop them is his being a supreme being... for example, what stopped the jaffa and the tauri from rebelling against the goa'uld? answer: their overwhelming military strength, and their lack of conscience...

Why havent this been made yet??? cmon its a good idea but it could use a little work to make it the best idea to come out recently!!
