a monopoly doesn't need to be one person, it can be a group as long as the group it speaking with 1 voice and setting 1 price and are the only ones offering the goods in demand. In an oligopoly there are several (but very few) groups (or individuals) offering the goods that are in high demand... independently...

I just did some math, and based on prices at 700 mil/k, and personal growth at .790040414% per day, and with exponential growth, I could double my army every 87.7365 days, based on income/buying alone. Not including UP, and any 'extra' I may make by raiding. Not saying I actually will, but I could.

But anyway, based on that theory, players should double their growth every 3-4 months, right? Well that means prices also would jump every 3-4 months. I remember one year ago prices were 300-350 mil/k. Given the time it isn't surprising that they have doubled and even tripled.

I took my daily income and divided it by 700,000. I then took that number and divided it by by my entire army size to get 'k'
y=yoekt is the formula, with y being the end value, yo being your start, k being your growth per day, and t being your days.

In the model below all I wanted was to double my starting size, so y became 2, and yo became 1, I didn't include the 1 because it wasn't needed.

2=e0.0.007900404t
ln2=0.007900404t
t=(ln2)/0.007900404
t=87.735656 days

It would vary depending on your % of miners to your total army size(better % of miners, faster growth...) Also UP makes a difference.

It doesn't factor in changes in prices on the market, but you could just pick a higher number. Like if I picked 900 mil per k, it would be 112 days to double size, still not counting anything else. That would better match the rise in prices.
