Imagine when we are finished having fun and only humans live on Earth?

We'll all be vegans then!

Hahaha those two comment will keep me laughing for a good while. I can hear my apple scream when I bit it.
Plants respond to stimuli, as do animals.
And modern chickens were BRED to be eaten.
Also, we won't eat every animal on the planet, as most animals we eat are in a plentiful supply and we are able to breed more.

Great spirits have always encountered opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly.

Who gives a crap about what the majority thinks, causing pain for no reason other than pleasure is not just.

No, the pets that were found in dumpsters were euthanized because PETA 'feels' that keeping them and hoping that they will be adopted is evil, since they advocate not keeping pets at all anyway, therefor if they do receive pets from people who think PETA will take care of them, PETA just euthanizes them after a week or so, and as shown, tosses them into dumpsters.

Is killing an animal to eat it for pleasure?
No, its a need.

Yes I am against hunting myself. The need is food there are ways to abtain food that do not require killing animals.

Apparently, more deer are killed (bluntly and slowly) by cars then by hunters, atleast in New york state. The deer population there is OVERPOPULATED and has been shown that they eventually starve due to competition and lack of food, whereas if there are hunters the population is under control, especially with regulation on catch limits and such.

I live in redneck land, deer meat is not very expensive. Deer are everywhere, because we have screwed up the natural order of things. I am against killing animals, but it would be better if they were killed in more humane ways. I have worked at a chicken house and the conditions were horrible.

Umm... us humans are OVERPOPULATED! Does that mean you can kill and eat us? Its about time we had a predator of our own to worry about. Then you wouldn't be so quick to deem creatures lower than you unworthy to live a full life.
EDIT: They should allow special "hunters", to come and hunt a few of us, that is the ones that destroy our environment. The only difference between us and deer in the mental standpoint is, we really do not know the extent of the deers brain. For all we know, they could be intelligent creatures.

Well I believe that humans are more important than other animals (secular humanist), but I believe that animals have enough value not to tortue them for no good reason. Here is a video about slaughter houses, if you have not been to one it is a good idea to understand why a person would not eat meat.

humans are not overpopulated. As we are an invasive species and can adapt to any enviroment we please, we ca never be "overpopulated." and I feel that I am higher then deer because I have a basic understanding of the universe. When a deer can stan on its two legs and explain to me a quasar and its manipulations of the space around it. i'll support its continued existance.
