Right! I've had enough from the lot of you. For all forum members who don't know what's really going on here's what's happened. It involves myself, buck, Diamond Dust and Deity. I was quite content keeping this private, however Buck as you seem to like to start topics in the public domain, I shall reply.

1) The Deity started going out with Nuto

2) Buck then goes off at Deity saying that he's changed and that he's spending too much time with her, which is basically because he hasn't seen him on msn recently :? .

3) Buck joins Omega, myself, Deity and Diamond Dust have a crack at him.

4) Myself, Diamond Dust and buck work things out reasonably well, however Buck and Deity have issues, not helped buck by the fact that you start topics in the public forum saying "you know who your true friends are" and having topics which are there only to whip up sympathy for you.

5) Buck and Deity don't speak to each other, and I have to listen them whine about each other (although in the last few days it's been pretty good), culminating in Buck and Diamond Dust planning to mass Deity. Not very subtle fellas asking deity what his defence is, out of the blue.

6) Buck appoints Diamond Dust to mod status in a way which was wrong. Dusty, I think you could be a good mod, but the way in which you were appointed sucked. Also I think you're over compensating a bit by modding everything in sight.

So guys quite frankly stop **Filtered** footing around with this "It's all Nuto's fault" bs. The method in which mods are appointed needs to be streamlined, and just because Nuto pointed it out doesn't mean she's not right. Yes, she's stirring the pot, but so are you guys by starting a topic basically designed to rip into her. Work it out on msn guys.

Now that was amusing, and entirely harmless, at least as far as I was concerned. If you think I would have done anything to Deity then you're mistaken. :)

Winter Wolf wrote: I think you're over compensating a bit by modding everything in sight.

A slight exaggeration on 'everything in sight' there WW. I am eager that's all, and I'm sure I'm not the first newly appointed moderator who's wanted to set a good impression. I think that was a little unfair mate.

Firstly, check the dates on this thread, and a certain other thread in the forum suggestions section. You'll find who started this first. Secondly, there is no working things out on MSN due to the simple nature that some people are simply not worth it any more. I did not start all this, yet I have become involved because of the actions of one seemingly bitter forum user. And for the record, I asked her to speak to me directly when this all first started and got absolutely nothing in response.

Didn't you just contradict yourself?

You tried to talk to me on msn when I was asleep and never got a response. No shocks there. Hard to respond when you are asleep.

This isn't about you Lou, as much as you seem to think it is. Had this been any other of a mods friends being let in for no reasons (or permission), I'd have still posted and asked the questions, and made people aware.

Diamond Dust wrote:It is no coincidence that this stuff came about moments after Buck gave me a trial on the old moderation business.

No kidding! Thats what the entire issue is. You were given a mod, no application, no voting, not even the admins were aware. It IS no coincidence. Glad we have that sorted. 8)

As a matter of fact, no, I didn't just contradict myself. I stated that some people are not worth it having tried to contact you first. You obviously cannot read. Whilst we're being all we're being woefully childish about all this might I ask what have you to gain? Do you want to be a moderator yourself? And when you said you were sleeping when you got those message, wait, when you GOT those messages, didn't you think to contact me via ingame, on the forum or even via MSN as an offline message?

I'm a bit bored of your games Jess, so I don't want to talk to you any more because I fear I'll say something I regret. You take your issue about moderator appointments to the top, and see what they say.

Hmm, lets see, a fair forum?

I have no interest in being a moderator whatsoever. Been there, done that.

I know there are others who would like an opportunity though, and I think they deserve a fair go.

Equal opportunity moderator system. So everyone gets the chance, not just those who know someone in the mod team.

I have spoken to Pookie about this and there is a system coming in to place that will make sure that things like this "add a mate" ideal don't occur.

Thanks to Pookie for listening. :-D

So long now, bye bye then. 8)

Main Entry: muppet
Part of Speech: n
Definition: a stupid person
Usage: derogatory slang

...Yes, such an inspiration to me.

What was that about respect?

I show respect where it is deserved, and to those whom respect me i show them utter respect, to you, well im glad i used the word muppet, there are far more becomeing words that suit you, Such as Phil Collins lover.

Edit for the sake of nuto, In my land, of england, we Have this thing called the muppet show, They are furry funny jolly folk who are also on seseame street, Although im sure there are more than just the 2 meanings of muppet in the world than the ones we mentioned, is it a game?!, find them out?! :)

I'll add a third. Here in the US, we also have Sesame Street and the muppet show. However, calling someone a muppet here generally means they are being controlled by someone else. An employee muppet would be a person who is constantly sucking up to the boss and who the boss controls his/her every action. A husband muppet is someone who is controlled by his wife and does everything she tells him. The word is generally considered an mild insult.

I think Nuto's point was that by referring to someone as a "muppet", it's likely an inflammatory and demeaning reference in most (any?) language. I don't live in the UK but I suspect calling someone a muppet there doesn't mean that you find them funny, furry, and silly.

Everyone, players and mods, need to find better ways to discuss their differences other than slinging thinly veiled insults at each other under the guise of it being a regional colloquium.

I've just been told that anything goes in this forum and that we are allowed to speak our mind without the disrespect rules applying. Baszy told that, and I can quote it if need be...

Bazsy wrote:But that mod part of general is made for a place when you can do it. So from now on, there you can put any stuff like that without getting warned. The disrespecting rule is not valid for those subsections as long as you don't use pointless insults or vulgarity.

So then, where to start.

Buck is a muppet for adding another drunk muppet to the mod team (which used to be something to look up to), and for not even asking an admin before doing so.

Diamond Dust is a muppet for overkill-modding and locking everything he sees fit to lock (because he is so worldly on the ways of modding), and signing his silly little "mod speak" edits to everything as a banner of input that no one cares about.

The fact that the admins cant bring themselves to reprimand buck for doing things without permission or even a vote of some sort is a sheer indication of just how many pieces these forums are in.

A solution?
Get rid of buck, get rid of rogue "mods" who claim to be the be all and end all of the forum, when they are the ones forcing people away from the forums. To the point of telling people to leave.

Get a new system in (which is on the cards I am told), and prevent people like this ruining what used to be a wonderful community and a fun place to post.

Remove global mods ability to ban, then people wouldn't be banned so often, and the only people who can ban are the admins, like it use to be.

Refresh the mod team, because as it stands there is little faith and respect in the current one (surprise, surprise).

More to come as I think of them.

How profound. Perhaps there wouldn't be so many locks if people like yourself were not about to stir things up? Fancy that. Your beloved Louis. In blue.

so if we put them together do we get a "puppet muppet"

this is confusing lol

a puppet is some thing that is controlled by someone else

a muppet is a silly person.

but now we have

a muppet is also a person who is either sucking up & being controlled.

so is a puppet muppet a schizophrenic muppet or a schizophrenic puppet

just wondering, because if mods are either it would be good to know :D

I'd like to know what it means, not because of fear of offense, lol, but because I have no idea what it means
