Person B comes up with idea/complaint. Semper dosent respect person B. Person B gives Semper idea/complaint. Semper says "I'll look into it."

That is the extent as to how far my modding/Ombudsman/admin attitude for no-respect goes.

I can do effective stuff without showing respect to people I do it all the time. I have no respect for you Eros, purely because I dont know you man. I have read your exploits over the years, but I need to know someones personal character a little more before they gain my respect. Im not exactly tearing you a complete new one here am I? Im replying to all your post's, i am being a little...well..me in my replies, but thats because this isnt exactly formal is it old chum. How I post is also part of my character, and what makes me me, I am arrogant, but im not stupid and know when things are right and wrong and there has only been one exception on the forums...

Tok'ra. He is a completely different issue all together, I treat no one else on the forums like I treat him, and even he would be treated different should I be Ombudsman.

lol. I'll say nothing more, you have all seen me make points, destroy arguments time and time again to prove a point and reach an end. Yeah I insult, but I always get the point across, and I know a lot of the mods and smoosh well enough that peaceful and less complicated things can be done and they all know MSN and the SGW forums are two different places.

Good luck to everyone else, looking at the candidates they are all solid choices for different reasons no matter what happens, so I think the forum has its 'arse' covered anyway it goes!

lol..i like a good chilled argument! Nothing like it to get you ready for bed. (Other then a glass of milk!)

You say that now cause you want to be elected, but you've clearly proven that you woun't do such things. I rest my case :-)

How have I clearly proven it? When was I denying I was not disrespectful? Would you have liked me to put my hand up and said. "OH! Hold the phone here! In a formal position im going to change because its a formal position, I know most of you are older then 2 years, but for those out there that are not, just want to clarify that for you!"

Go and take a look in the debate section. My point is proven there about how different I act. lol...bad show Eros.

Judochop wrote:We shouldn't have to go to the debate forum, to see that you are as qualified for the position as you claim. What example do you set?

You do because its me in a formal position, averse to me around and about the forums. Trust me..the former is much more respecting and nicer, because I know it has to be.

-edit. WHY does it have to be different, who do army officers and cadets stant to attention when in uniform and say sir yes sir etc etc and then when they are off duty are they completely different.

same thing.

A poll?

I think that it's been proven that polls are in no way a fair judge of who people want to vote for.

Almost every poll thats been put up on these forums has been messed up by people logging in to their "other" forum accounts and voting.

The only fare way to judge it is to vote with a post. And only users with a post count over 100 should get a vote.

lol..this thread might need a clean up, I applaud whoever does it to send the arguing to the general dump, where it can continue should people wish. :-D

I nominate myself. It would appear that, with no offense to Semper, the front runners have disolved into fight. The ombudsman is supposed to resolve conflict not stir up more. If given the power I believe I could handle the role with clarity and grace.

This in no way signifies voting, it's meerly nomination. If this really was a voting thread, my supporters would have flooded this place with votes, but instead they are meerly waiting for the poll.

I realize that, but when the true voting begins, we should have posting instead of a poll.

And have you ever heard of modesty?
"my supporters would have flooded this place with votes"... yeah, you don't have tickets on yourself at all.. :?

If you have so many supporters, then let them post their wish for you to become the ombudsman, instead of the poll which will no doubt be flooded with forum multis instead.

I'm fine either way. But whatever way is chosen needs to be in a new thread..

Nor will I deny that I am modest and egotistic and evil. I believe those qualities are what would make me a great Ombudsman :-D

Yeah, I don't agree.

I also think that self-voting, like Wolf said is sort of defeats the purpose of being voted in.

Oh well. There will always be those who hold themselves above others.
