What muppets, complete and utter morons. I hope Syfy lose customers because of their poor decisions.

Let's not forget - how many people actually ween away from the TV to simply download the episodes each week? I know for one fact, I only download shows so I can watch them at my leisure instead of being there at a specific time.

In recent years the time gap between the US airing and UK airing has improved massively for a lot of shows. Generally the UK air less than a week after the US and as a result of this I Sky+ all my shows now as there's no need to download them.

they should reduce the gaps internationally to zero... they'd kill a lot of downloaders then...

Yes they would... not all, but a big majority of them. I think though that even reducing it to 1 day would make a big difference. I don't think they could reduce it to zero because if they aired it at 9pm in the US for example then it would be on in the UK at approx 2am - 5am.....

i think the worst thing is the second half of season 2 is already recorded so we are never going to get the full awnsers to the show and seeing how sga movie hasnt apeared yet its unlikley they will make a sgu movie to tie up all the loose ends

well, it'd take a number of movies to finish the SGU storyline, since it was meant to last 5 years...
the big problem those networks have is that they've not moved much with the times... releasing the series in only a few countries at first, then delaying months, if not years before releasing them to the rest will guarantee that a good number in those countries Will download instead of waiting... they should also open for watching them at odder times...

Just found out about this and i am gutted...at least they could do is give it one more season to wrap things up....I want to know whats at the end of the Universe....I hate American networks that just end shows without a propper ending....SGU was turing into one of the best shows on at the moment...Even my friend who hated all things stargate loved this show and thinks it's one of the best shows out...i hope the ratings for the last 10 episodes are massive and another network picks it up and at least gives us a propper ending..as for SYFY they can kiss my arse and i hope they go bust
More then likely they will replace SGU with Tough Enough 4..the crappy new wrestling show thats starting soon

saw it coming from before July.. I liked the show overally and I would happily have watched 5+ seasons of it.. but it just made too many mistakes in some areas. MASSIVE mid season gaps before it was established.. poor slot placing and some very crummy episodes here and there and some fairly aggressive writers in regards to the huge fan base they largely alienated with this.
Choice of one Atlantis season and one SGU season..or two SGU seasons? Seemed like a no-brainer to me.

I would reather have SGU over SGA anyday...but i like the dark filming in it and the massive overall story arc...I also got bored of the SGA near the end...sure the evil Asgards was looking a good story but bar that and the trip back to their own galaxy they was not alot left for them to do....Then you have the Wraith 1 shot in the first season did nothing...1 shot season 5 kills them
I will rewatch season 1-5 of SGA as the snow if pretty deep around mine and i don't have alot else to do...once i have watched them be prepaird for the post with a make a SGA movie

Stargate Atlantis > Stargate Universe.
Stargate Universe > Stargate Atlantis.
Why did I type that you wonder? Some aspects Universe trumps Atlantis, and vice versa. The fact of the matter is - these shows are completely and utterly different in almost every aspect. They branch to two different types of viewers with the way the story is written, the way the show is filmed, the lack of humor, it's more focused on drama than the typical Jack O'Neill type humor of sarcasim.
I love Stargate SG1 more than I do any other show, however, I want to know more about the Stargate Universe and the story behind it all..but we'll never know because the stupidity of the world is more focused upon "good business" and "politics". It's sad, really.
Food for thought though - What would you make out of a civilization that is dependent upon Oxygen for survival from the trees of their planet and then clear cut forests each year without caring? You decide.

It's all about the money (ratings) at the end of the day and that's sad....SGU had a 5 year plan and it had a overall strong story line and it could what i like to call the 44 min episode where they go though the gate SG1 style and save the day...simple yet fun to watch...But for some reason in America it's all about ratings...They need to open their eyes (syfy) and remember that they is alot of other countrys that watch it either on the Space channel or Sky One or what every channel shows it in your country...They could have made it a web only show and charged people to watch it..i know i would have paid for it....i am still sad about it now
It's replacement Being Human is a show of BBC3 here in the UK and it's not that good i have watched the first season and it was nothing special...i am pretty sure the remake is going to be the same
For some reason the people in charge of most things as of late have no idea on anything and keep making mistakes that are making alot of people

I will never pay for a TV show again. Never. Worst idea ever. Waste of money, no matter how good the show is. It will always come to an end, thus making your cash useless unless they provide the actual DvDs of the seasons with your purchase of the show.

sgu was a failure , the opening episode was ok but then we saw the same stuff for over 6-7 epps , lol how can they expect fans to see when u look for water, food, encountering the same specie that take yr breath lol thats childish , SG fans have grown up they expect smth new, more realistic not always the same crap of invading earth. meh to me it was boring watching it
