Did you actually watch the game? :-s

it was possibly the worse sending off of all time lol ](*,)

It's hillarious people always ask me if I watched the game, obviously yes, if I mention something, I watched it..

He already had a yellow card, and there was yellow cards given to both sides, and then he does that. If it was isolated action, then maybe yes, but provoking while there was obviously bad atmosphere and having already yellow card, no...it was close to end into a group fight.

Cannavaro was funny in the match against NZ when he was on ground, he heard match was stopped as he was on ground, so he watched around while still being on the ground, and woke up like if what he wanted to achieve was achieved.

What a joke of a game... and what was with the referee showing his beans to Fabiano for scoring after toughing the ball with his hands ... twice. Lame.

Well referee is to blame for not noticing..just like when goals shouldn't be made despite being validated, or when they cancel valid goals.
After all, there's not only one referee so they should be able to see most...

Well some of your posts suggest you may have just read a report. Kaka's 2nd yellow wasn't even a foul...let alone a booking....Kieta should look where he's running, I guess if it had been a post there instead of Kaka, you'd be demanding they take the goal away?

there was no force or malice in Kaka's action.....further proven by the fact Kieta went down clutching his face (something that could potentially get him a suspension from FIFA)

French are out the world cup, now it looks like the french ref is on his way home with them lol

What I saw was a massive group of brazilians and ivoirians who were obviously not fighting for the ball. I was wondering wth happened. I just guessed something happened. Now, the replay wasn't precise, it was front, so I didn't see how Keita crashed. Apologies if I am mistaken. It's just the way the replay was...not revealing much. Oh well I should see sooner or later in the replays later.

And Tek, yes.

Anyway, with Kaka playing the way he did, he wouldn't have been any use against Portugal..
he setup 2 of the 3 goals #-o
A hands ball, an offside, and one -ONE- clean goal? Oh my, how will Brazil ever survive without him.

Anyway, looking forward to a few matches this week.

South American teams seem on form or will Portugal be the first European nation to win a world cup outside of Europe (I hope not)

apart from the missed handball, I actually think this is the best ref that ive seen since the start from the world cup.. but then again this is APART from that hand ball.

guys, guys, in sports you have to take advantages of the rueles and bend the rules. I remember few years ago, chelsea vs berca, drogba stayed down purposely and got few free kicks..
playing with your mind is another aspect of the game, fooling the ref is a part of the game. deal with it. IF you can figure out a way to bend the rules, then you have already won the game (as italy did in 06 by pissing zidane off)>> I bet research went into "what exactly pisses zidane off" and then it was done by them.
personally, i understand its bad that the refs are sometimes half blind. BUT its the playing team's job to exploit that.

in war, you dont look at how yyou won it... and soccer is pretty close to war.

dont blame ref, blame the rules of the game..

I'm sure they will. You are generous with your goals, however.. I'd say there will be just .. one goal?

Today's matches and wishful results:

Portugal 0 - 1 Korea DPR - Let Korea relive 1966 and win this time.

Chile 0 - 2 Switzerland - because apparently Switzerland are boring? :smt017

Spain 0 - 0 Honduras - keep Spain out of the top 2!

I second these results, but would wish Honduras a goal. Nothing more delightful as watching giants come crashing down.

That will happen in a certain match tomorrow. :smt047 (if you can call them giants).

Today's matches and REALISTIC results:

Portugal 2 - 0 Korea DPR - just way too strong, especially for korea

Chile 1 - 1 Switzerland - cause both teams are unexciting and not overly strong

Spain 3 - 0 Honduras - Its spain (assuming they dont choke)

:smt047

Oh look, it's Solmyr. Hi Solmyr. Will you be very upset when these things don't come true? I'd like to know that before making fun of your pick. :-D You knocked my Great Leader's Nation and my Kanton. And don't forget.. if Honduras loses, they will go to war. For real.

My wishful results:

Portugal 2-0 NK
Chile 1-0 Switzerland
Spain 2-0 Honduras

"Little" teams good results were fun for a while, but WC must start serious now.

Why Chile 1-0? Because Chile knows how to defend like Swiss does, but they have better shooting skills. Unless Swiss scores first, but then it would be 1-1 like solmyr said.
