Here's what I see happening next
Damimo: Ok Danzo, here's the Hokage Robes & Hat.
Danzo: Yes, now die you old fool!
(Danzo kills Damimo)
Danzo: Now I claim the title of Damimo!!
(Sasuke shows up)
Sasuke: I KILL YOU!!
Danzo: I shall never die!! Root, defend me!!
(Root ANBU attacks Sasuke and uses a selfdestruct jutsu which kills both Sasuke & Danzo)
.... I think it went from what I think would happen to what I want to happen...

i can't see sasuke dying that easily
and not by any hand other than naruto or sakura's
