This was obviously going to happen after kikaz was hitting an almost 100 tril defense for naq yesterday.

People are mixing us up I think loki.

I was the one hitting people with AC trained with huge planets and level 40 ac.

Loki had a high strike and farmed everyone but his account now is pretty much the same as it was when this started, he didn't have planets, just popped double strike when there was enough naq out and went to town.

Trust me man, it's not a mixup. This was back when Loki was still in Leaf Village and one of the big complaints we had with his farming. Loki was in part upset because we planet stripped an untagged HVE member, which, sure it sucks when your guy loses a bunch of duals and a triple (that was the source of my triple that I kept for a year or two), but we had no idea who he was...no way we were keeping track of all 100 of your accounts, especially when they weren't in any of your alliances at the time. Loki was particularly frustrated with us not really even budging on repayment and I am sure I was probably a bit of an ass about the whole thing, but hey...mouthlord gotta mouth amiright?

Now the initial spark for this war was when Jotunheim was formed and farming us heavily. That was you Kikaz when you built a 100 tril+ strike to farm our 100 tril defenses for naq that, while nice naq, was obviously an aggressive action.

At that point, we knew you guys wanted war and we had enough people here that wanted it to start right away that it happened.

Now admittedly I know I yelled and threatened a bunch more in the weeks leading up to that war than normally...I was personally doing my best to delay its start date from the beginning of January through to February and preferably the start of March. That was so all the NAP endings would line up well and it would be a true threeway server war...and because I was going to be gone for most of the month of February and I didn't want to be left out of the fun

PS Loki, it was less about planets and more about mothership. Your mothership was quite nice for the time. At any rate, you farmed a lot. A whole hell of a lot.

But yes I do admit Jotunheim was formed to declare war on TAF, though we had planned it for 3 months later after we had gotten everyone who wished to participate into it and I did while I had a 100t strike doubled go through your entire alliance and hit every naq worth my losses.

The misconception was that it was planned by DDE and MaYHeM lol.

It included HC members of DDE and Mayhem haha. It doesn't matter if every DDE member was supporting it. You of course would have retaliated against TAF if I magically dropped tags and massed all of you for fun.

That said, we saw the debates going on the DDE forum at the time, talking about their desire to mass us and figuring out the best time for said war. The majority that voted in the poll wanted war. It was very clear talking to KJ they weren't interested in peace and obviously the minute our NAPs ended, war would be on...we had said as much during our myriad NAP extension negotiations with both OE and DDE at the time.

So..the DDE and OE NAPs were both ending at the end of February. Then all of a sudden a bunch of DDE HC join a splinter alliance to pick a fight a few weeks before that deadline? Yeah that wasn't going to go peacefully for anyone

Okay now it sounds a little more familiar. Couldn't really put it better myself. Jötunheim was formed with war in mind though. So anything bad we did was deliberate provocation.

Jötunheim was made becouse you couldn't farm them and wanted to avoid the DRA but still run back to DDE for support. .

Well. As the guy who made the alliance I figure I might have a slightly better idea of why it was formed. We didn't want to wait for the NAP to end and the ME was nice as well.

What is really sad is not that you planned for war and made it happen. I have no problems being at war, it's rather enjoyable. The issue was the way it was done to be "game over". You wanted to create a war that lasted and lasted and drove players from the game.

You succeeded. The game is worse for it. And I do blame you for that. Of all the people that have played this game, you've done absolutely the most damage to the community.

When this war began, we'd had a long period of peace. Incidents were dealt with diplomatically, which is rare for DDE, but it had been done.

Could we have ended this war at some point after you left? All attempts have come to nothing. Neither side dominates enough to force a surrender. The attitude clash of many involved, and lack of respect both sides have for the other means neither side is willing to sit at a diplomatic table. Even within TF, who have always been open to diplomatic talks, too many bad things have happened now for us to want to let certain individuals continue in peace time. We have let some players leave DDE when they wanted without continuing to mass them, but the leaders won't talk and nor do we really have any interest left in talking to them.

Final note: Hats off to OE leadership who were smart. They realised it was more fun to have a shorter war, without the long term impact on the game. That war came to it's conclusion a long time ago through diplomatic talks and we easily continue to talk to OE leaders diplomatically.

The reason for this war was not on them, but yourselves... abusing your NAPs and taking in all of the well known farms and barely actives to allow them to leave all of that naq in the open behind the curtain of the NAP. Nobody likes to window shop.

The war really started with you... for starting a war of attrition. Protecting those farms left numerous people fighting for the same slowly diminishing group of known targets. There's no way that would have ended well, especially when you're looking for all the naq and it's sitting behind that invisible NAP wall in your empire of inactive farms.

So please, stop blaming DDE and Jöt. NAPs are what kill the game. Wars only emphasize what you already knew... which people have always been inactive in the first place.

the war didn't kill the game at start it acually made it more alive (talking the one OE vs TAF vs DDE) what killed the game is long fights which no1 will come on top , becouse most of players left the game or simply don't log into anymore.

The only good thing long wars have !you might forget your precious planets out!

I think one of the reasons this war has been more destrucitve is planets. Planets prevent mid and low level players from fighting back against the big accounts. When you start feeling like you can't do anything you'll stop playing.
