I didn't think Mayhem were of the right caliber for OE.

Such things and wheels within wheels keep the game interesting [not to mention making A Game of Thrones seem Childsplay] and quite a spectacle when you're no longer playing and sitting down watching things unfold. It lets you have the opportunity to see just how right/wrong your predictions were in the different spheres of gameplay and I was doing so well until now

Aww.. :P

And here I was, counting those coins, coming to conclude it were 30 coins as Judas was paid, according to legend. :)
No, dear Severian.. IF Mayhem were bought out, they were bought out for much more, relatively. ;) No one can argue with decent diplomacy.

Pathetic child. Challenge me to a 1vs1, and we'll settle this. I'm not interested in saving my account.. ^_^ So bring it on, kiddo.

The Art of politics is very much a game of cat and mouse, of letting people think they know what you know or that they have all the information available when the reality is oh so very different. It is about luring people into the comfort of a predetermined disposition without realising they have been sheparded all the way, leaving them to be content that it was upon their own freewill that they have arrived at a given destination.

What you see is not always what you get and what you hear is very much hearsay. There is a lot that goes on behind closed doors that none bar a select few ever see in any given situation that can be applied to basically any alliance ingame. But on forums, you come to accept sterotypical or 'agreed' norms on certain alliances and their standings, whether the fact that you want to believe it or want others to believe you believe. The worst move you can possible make is to reveal just to what extent you know of something and from which angles.

It is making people believe that you are powerless or caught unawares and providing the adequate reaction to give it believability that is half the game in seducing the opposition with the allure of pending victory. That being said, we also shape each other more then we shape ourselves in the public eye and understanding that is the key to unlocking some very powerful tools.

But that's not my cup of tea. I enjoy deconstructing the Information war to find truth and alterior motives which I see as a mental challenge and a test of skills. You can't be caught lying if all you tell are truths and besides, i tend to become guilt stricken telling even little white lies in real life. I don't have a gambling face and while I can shatter illusions, i find it incredibly difficult casting them up. Its one of my flaws and means i'm a reactionary and defensive player in the poker, reading other people knowing full well that my face is open to them :(

...You can live in this illusion,
You can choose to believe.
You keep looking but you can't find the woods,
While you're hiding in the trees

What if everything around you,
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you used to know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is that all you want to be?
What if you could look right through the cracks,
Would you find yourself... find yourself afraid to see...

I think someone is upset that they and their alliance got played

Be careful with statements like that JMX dude - sometimes you don't always know what is going on - even if you think you do. :-D

Not really, I welcome the change as there is no sense of fun or achievement without the adversity to intensify the experience. The pleasure comes from the challenge and as I no longer play or participate in alliance dealings, it is very much like sitting back having studied a set of dominos and watching it all play out; seeing if they fall into the place you imagined and taking the routes your mind map had plotted.

This particular set of dominos are falling down a curve I hadn't expected and so there was no anger in my post - only a curious delight that was intended for the more intellectual members of the Omegan Empire like Buck or Mordack.

Would you suggest in subsequent posts that i provided a Jedi Emoticon sign off? Just so that you can understand what I am expressing in the form of a pretty picture given that the above text is usually too scary and confusing for you?

Jedi-Sign:

Seems there's many people behind the curtain here. I suppose it's not my time yet to understand why some people would enjoy puppetries over an internet text based game.

Neither do they. :-D

@ Severian: Your posts remind me of a 12 year old girl crying over simple stuff. Just blabbering on about the same thing, over and over and over again in a high pithced whiny voice that just wants attention. Post again when your period ends.
