That's hard... when we say something, we get silenced by those who suck up to those who cause these problems... Individuals have no power to change things... not when too many 'blind followers' and butt suckers are around.

Actually, I agree with Apophis, and I don't think either one of says this because we think the mods got better (mods as a whole always have and probably always will be accused of bias and abuse. Its unfortunate considering the job you guys do). The community used to be in a place much worse as a whole, just because of hurt/bitter feelings that kind of festered and poisoned the atmosphere. Pops, if I put words in your mouth, feel free to correct me. I apologize in advance if it occurred.

Glad you mention there were worse people. I'm not going to name any names either, but from what I know of the Administrative history of these forums, there are but a few who would qualify.Teal'auc of the Tok'ra wrote:Yes, there were worse than Jack and Smooshable(won't name anyone), but they are gone - and even then, they were followed by those 'followers' - it took a lot of people to yell, scream and tell others something is not right. Now we have similar problem and there are again 'followers' who would back them up, spam topic where they are questioned and issues are raised against them.
Jim, or anyone, does not expect anyone to do anything, except for those who have brains to use their common sense. What else can you expect from people? It's the main reason no one is actually going to say you are wrong in your fight against smooshable or Jack. Perhaps you are - I'm not saying you're not.. - but even the most dumb person knows that no one is going to accept something as the truth just because they have had some bad experiences and a loud voice.Teal'auc of the Tok'ra wrote:It is your choice, Jim, but don't expect everyone to do so, as some people care where this community is going and don't selfishly look at the fact they are friends.

You say he is a blind follower. Follower, yes, blind, no. Especially not in regards to Jack. Has he never criticised me for my actions present and past? He has repeatedly done so, often such that we came out the better by it. He was the one who convinced me to lay down modship when I first became mod, after smooshable said I could still finish my trial. Jim has repeatedly said I should stop spamming when I was in a spammy mood, I think we all remember the silly images spam of a week or so ago? Complaints weren't raised, but unofficially, people weren't too happy with that. Jim told me to stop.
So really.. before you go and run your mouth off at him for being 'a blind follower', get your facts straight. Then, when you're convinced he is, by all means, accuse him. Until then, leave him out of your many personal fights. You say he cannot expect everyone to share his opinion? Fine. Same goes for you. Can you handle that?Teal'auc of the Tok'ra wrote:It is admirable you stand up for friends... but in this case it's undesirable...because it hurts the community and shakens trust in whole moderator team.
Oh, don't be like that.. we've already established Jim is not a staunch supporter of Jack, and I don't believe my name is mentioned very much in this debate except by you. And the few people who think I never should've been made a mod in the first place, of course.. but do they go and 'destabilise' this community further? Oh, maybe they do.. but that wouldn't be something I, or Jim for that matter, would know about now, would it.Glad you mention there were worse people. However, opposition against the Administration has been a part of these forums ever since they were founded - from the first claims: Why is the owner of this game forum admin?! to the claims about Psi, to the claims about Shaitan, to the claims about Pookie, to this latest fashion of bashing smooshable - there have been continuous oppositions. Whether it was paying people who were angry at Forum, people who were fooled by Psi's gender stunts, victims of Omega, (can't think of anyone with Pooka) to you and Freespirit and every single rebel in this latest fling.Jim, or anyone, does not expect anyone to do anything, except for those who have brains to use their common sense. Seems to become a trend to be convinced of your own truth and to expect everyone to follow that belief without question.. the lack of logic in that is stunning.
Things went wrong in the past with previous Administrators, people whined. Things go wrong now, people whine.
"The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us."
Ah well.. I'll wait for you to play the "bad past! don't listen!"-card again, or maybe you've found a new argument in the past year? Sure would be nice.
Otherwise, I'd appreciate it if you took the above seriously.
