ok, i am an active member of SGW community and have an unbiased viewpoint on this situation: it truly is disgusting. i dont post this to insult anyone's intelligence or piss anyone off, although i'm sure i will inevitably do so in even commenting on such a sensitive topic, but it needs to be said: the lack of creativity on behalf of the creators of this "tribute" plan is somewhat perturbing...there are many other solutions that dont involve penalizing ppl, individually, for participating in a war, and the fact that ppl who hold so much power and are thought to be seen as wise and knowledgeable cannot see, or blind themselves, from these alternatives is, in truth, quite disturbing.
although, to be totally fair and unbiased, i must state that i can see the practicality of placing such a tribute on those who wish to cease taking part in the war...the point made that it is meant to keep those who quit the war from supplying those in it or from re-entering the war is a valid statement with viable reason, but it is, as previously stated, complete non-sense!
here is what i propose: something so incedibly simple that it only magnifies my previous statement above that the lack of such skilled and knowledgeable players as the veterans, who put together the plan, to be blinded, for whatever reason, from such a simple solution, it truly is disturbing...
Perg: instead of forcing them to pay a tribute, banish them to perg. not only will this keep them from sending supplies to those still involved in the war, but it will make it more difficult (easier, for some...) to rebuild, a much bigger punishment than forcing them to pay a tribute...this can easily be expanded and molded to fit army size issues and the like, too...
for all i know, someone may have already posted this
heck, i may just be blowing on the sails of peace, hoping to move it across and ocean of war, but regardless, it needed to at least be said, if not suggested...

It would be quiet impossible to force somebody to the Pergatory Realm that is over the limit for entry.

Actually If the tribute is to make sure they won't enter the war anymore,
Why do they don't give the naq and uu back at the end of the war?

To be honest, it seems to me u guys are a fairly stubborn bunch, so I dont think this war is going end....that unless u guys were planning to surrender like a month before this war started just like DD planned to separate from CoP the month before the 2nd server war or all the people that left u guys in this war were planning to leave like prior to the war etc.
Like I said, dont leave the war, no probs, u shouldnt have to worry about tributes

No offence - but that doesn't particularlry sound unbiased.
And reference the rest of your post, as Noobert pointed out, you cannot banish all player to pergatory as some (lots) are too big.
However, following on from your idea - it could be agreed that they could be banished to vacation mode for the remainder of the duration of the war. Hits them 2 ways then - they can't supply resources, and they can't improve their own account further. But this is unlikely to be accepted because some wars drag on through sheer farming stubborness and this system (as it stands) does not take into account reparations.

I suppose because although the word 'tribute' is the one being banded around - it's all about 'reparations' as well. The two are subtly different.

Also you expect us to keep track of who gave what and hold onto all of it till the war ends? I dont think so. And we are not asking reparations from people on vac that are still tagged.

is not nice to ask tributes
but is not imoral on some limits
imoral is to give this tributes
best example is aga and teesdale

I'm not sure what the current 'rates' are but it doesn't really matter.
As I think someone in TJP has said, shouldn't the leaving of your alliance be 'tribute/reparation' enough? You are essentially betraying them by leaving and that puts you on the bad list.
But no... it appears that TJP while some hold that view, must go further and get reparation which if it is anything more than the FUALL amounts is merely proof that they need help rebuilding or funding their side of the war.
What is the current repatriation amount anyway?

As for Omega still numbering 26 members "on loan" or "oh holliday"... If that`s not all justification the tribute system and a list of combatants dating a few week prior to war need I don`t know what more people want heh. Your "god" explained it better than I ever could, so as far as I am concerned I`m no longer justifying this to anyone in this or any other thread. I may occasionally link ppl to this post and thats it. If reading comprehansion doesnt totally fail them that should be that. Tnx ETL.
But yes tekki, you got us pegged. We need the funds to keep going. Cos frankly, the frantic tempo of sgw and especially this war and the scarcity of naq thise days just doesnt enable one to, you know, keep up. You`re awsome Sherlock.
P.S. Thats not me giving you the worlds smallest violin for a *pathetic* trolling attempt btw, thats you standing next to a window playing it (Jeremy Brett style) after a brilliant deduction enabled you to solve the Mystery of the Reparations/Tributes.
Camera slowly blurrs out as I click the "submit" button...
