Wow, I can't believe this happened. Hensenshi was the one who got me into my alliance in SGW, and nurtured me when I was one of his noob officers. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have ended up playing this game for nearly two years.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

After seeing a rather ambiguous announcement on Tweetybird's FB account i put 2 and 2 together and headed straight here.

I've often said this about SGWars folk and myself: "The good guys among you rarely get my attention". What i mean by this is Hensenshi was never troublesome and always carried out his leisure time here with respect for others even in the heat of battle. I cannot say fairer than this as words never really seem to come close enough at times like these- even from a wordster such as myself. I'm sure you fought all you could Hensenshi and i know you will be sorely missed yet remembered with both dignity and honour by those lives you touched here, myself included- we'll have all the time in the world one of these days so i'll mourn not but look forward to the day when we catch up with eachother!

My deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolencies, may you rest in peace while your spirit shines, you'll not be forgotten matey!

I may not have known him, but rest in peace Matt, for your suffering in this world has ended. Your brothers here may mourn for you here, but worry not, you will see them again, maybe not in this life, but in the next life. Take comfort in knowing that you have touched many, and shall be remembered by all.

I am sorry I am late to post here actually.

I am actually horribly sad to hear about this! I spoke to Hensenshi on a few occasions and it is always no less than a tragedy to lose characters from the world.

Thoughts to his family, to those who knew him better than I (the many of you out there) and onwards.

Never knew him or had any dealings with him. But it is always sad to hear about a fallen fellow Salior/Serviceman. My prays and thoughts are with and your family.

I'll be moving this into the archives soon, so this topic can be kept for as long as the forum is online.

I came back to this site to reconnect with old friends, Matt foremost of all. I saw DaDigi's sig, pm'ed him, and he directed me here. I cried, I wrote a sappy post that got lost because the site went wonky. Matt was always better with computers than me so after a lot of grieving and more than a few bottles of alcohol I have decided it was a sign from him to not post something so sappy.

A toast to a fallen comrade, we fought together, we got massed together, and we will remember together, TO MATT!

To Matt I know you are in a better place now. I hope the last of your time was peaceful knowing how many people had their minds on you and still do.

Last we spoke you asked me a webpage programming related question that I was unable to answer, however the advice I gave you was the same idea you'd thought of. I hope I can say great minds think alike but I think a few here would disagree!

You live on in the memories of others... from the looks of it your new future is about as bright of one as anyone who wishes to be remembered may ever wish for.

Tragic loss of a well respected player and person who left us far to young, I regret not having known him.

i was shocked when tweets told me

i knew matt for over two years on and off we had our differences we also tried to work through a lot of problems back when dd and TO joined together

i liked him he was always someone you could talk to and we had many man little philsopical arguments about life in general and the game

matts greatest thing was he loved to learn didnt matter what it was he always wanted to learn more

over the years we were on both sides fighting each other and side by side i spoke to matt everyso often drifted apart a little but he always said hello and always answered

in game we had different views but all in all away from it i like him he will be missed badly

my condolences to his family and his closest friends

for me im still a little shocked he was an enemy and ally but he was also a friend

RIP matt

(I'm late...)

Just thought I would first say a word on the credit deserved to each and every person who has taken the time to put kind words together. Despite the incredible amount of bickering about servers wars and what not on these boards, there is a distinct degree of humanity in most, if not all here.

I would just like to further echo the sentiments of Mezzanine up there and throw the quote to project my own stance on the matter.

Tragic loss of a well respected player and person who left us far to young, I regret not having known him.

Fair well Hensenshi.
