Wonder if it is the same prices across the boards...
Would it be possible to base the cost of the upgrades to perhaps (as an example only) 2-3 x max bank size.
With the fact that bank sizes are no longer dependent on UU amounts, could make it more realistic depending on how your accounts are built from the start...

I agree. Anything to force at least some sentiment of strategy to be utilised is overdue and gladly welcomed!

I am up for a slow game...but on the other hand..I think beta should be a little faster so we can try everything out sooner and get down to the bugs. Otherwise we're going to drop a good few months into beta..whilst we all get to the point where we can willing spend 40-50mill on techs, by which point its going to be far more painful to re-set.

Slow games are usually better games, it takes planning, alliances. It makes the fun stuff essential.
Gary could just place a button for like 1 billion naq or something to accelerate the game a little, it would not mess up the math work but it should allow us to see how it would work after a lot of effort.

I probably would go quite that high, but yes I agree with taht option to speed it up and see what can be done with a little extra dosh...

You'll just have to get the jump on them all then...
But if they are smart they'll wait 2-3 turns and get soem big amounts instead of the 100-300k hits, and in the meantime it gives the littler guys the chance to clean out those targets as the bigger players wait. Making it easier for the smaller players to catch up at this stage.
