Everyone posting here seem to be old long-time players. Maybe the opinion of a newbie (me) will do some good...
Some of the updates suggested here to fix the game are just aimed towards the long time players who are doing the complaining about the game. One example... Making less ATs available in the game. That does 0 good for the smaller and younger players, maybe it makes it funner for the people who find it fun to find someone they don't like and sit and click a button for 10 minutes (massing).
How are the smaller players supposed to catch up the big elite players or the super alliances? Bigger players wanna keep their power over the smaller players, and the smaller players wanna catch up and be like the big players. Having less ATs, smaller Raid yields, etc, makes it impossible for the smaller players to catch up. As someone already said new players are the blood of this game, without new players coming and joining the game, it will die, fact. So why make updates that cripple the smaller players and make it impossible for them to catch up to the big elite players?
Now reading back I repeated myself a ton in that... whatever, I get my post across. Also please no one castrate me or something just because I don't have 3 or 4 years experience like you, oh so godly ones!!!

you can make it that newer players can compete with older ones with other updates than just simply giving infinite at's.
making wars more destructive meaning larger alliances cripple each other more severly, or slowing down the growth of large players are simple methods

you oldies play politics and dictate this goddam game for almost everyone...its kool u play the updates in tests and all but u decide everything and make it hard for everyone else...your not bored of the game, ur bored of getting ur own way all the time
end the damn war and let others have a shot at things, end the super alliances to give others a chance to grow without the ony way to do this is to join ur alliance
stop the connected servers, outside influecnes complicate things and makeit easy to be tiny in main, strong on another server to be stronger than u shud be in main as you hardy play it or whatever

Agreed for beta server to have fun and get 1bil armies and go on mass fest...but DAMN NO for main!!!
And empedocles, you might be right, but don't forget that what newbies have to grow, "old ones" have it too and keep massing for ME or build their giant/medium accounts.

Some truth in that, raiding was set up to give smaller players a chance to catch up and the 10x rank limit & raid cap was meant to stop the big guys using it BUT the system is open to abuse, massive accounts sit in low ranks raiding just to sell UU for $$, selling the UU keeps them just under the raid cap and they have no need for rank. Another truth is impatience of new players, I've been playing for over 3 years and never been a raider, raiding wasn't even around for the first 18 months I played as is the same with many others, so why should new players suddenly jump up to our size with an endless supply of ATs and inactive accounts building up UU to take ?
Sorry but IMO raid caps need to be lowered, ATs should not be available on the blackmarket, inactives should be auto-vacationed and raid yeilds % should be lower the larger your army size is. Not to hurt or restrict small players growth but to target raider/traders and prevent small players being sucked into the $$$ market, this is meant to be free after all

BTW you dont have to be supersized to enjoy the game, some of my most fun fights were when I was much much smaller

you still need the naq to buy ats...the $$ defo shudnt be an issue, i know admin need cash to run the game and keep it going, so shudnt the only $$ be his, u wana black market, take ur own risks and dont cry to us when it goes wrong by saying dont trade etc, mess up in ur own worlds and keep things above board and equal for everyone

Making the game "fair" for everyone is what makes it boring. You cant win against someone with even 1/3 your army size.

Not bad ideas...not agreeing with inactives though...they need targets for uu (newbies).
As long as transfers player to player remain to keep biz alive, it's ok for me!

Just get rid of game market for ATs case. 2ATs/turn instead of 3. As for blackmarket...well it supplies game.

It's not like THAT much people are affected by plague...
If plague goes out: more ressouces for top armies: more growth for them, UP keeps growing and they will not be stoppable. We'll see a game like sgw.de where top armies are invincible as noone can catch them.
Having a 520mil army in beta with plague, I know what effects it would have to loose plague. Raid limit getting higher and higher...Giant armies selling 300mil uu then raid back their way while others keep growing beyond 700mil army. That's what would happen in a year if plague disappeared.

army size dicates income and how much stats you can field in war etc, army caps help u cant field your troops, dump those up planets etc dont complain

well if the caps were taken off.
you would have infinite growth and people would just get bigger faster. by getting HUGE UPS
things would just be crazy and noobies would take forever to catch up if its even possible!

Why not split SGW into groups, so that the really big people cannot touch the little ones, big people fight big people, little fight little

Perg army size limit is to high, 1 Mill army guys still face 50 Mill army guys. One of my suggestions a few pages back was an army size limiter on attacks like ascension has, that would have the dual purpose of stopping big guys hitting small guys and preventing tiny multi/vulture/sniper accounts hitting big guys
