The only way to avoid public humiliation is to be comfortable in conditions of a social nature. Anyways, I've sent a message to Caprilla, tryign to hammer out a good system. I don't want the votign to be subject to much bias, because I know so many are; people play politics. I think what we might end up doing is having a panel of non-sig making mods or admins form the voting panel (hopefully several of them to avoid any unnecessary vote skewing), at least that was my last suggestion, but it's not solid yet so we'll see.

Anyways, we've got time to work it out. The contest is only three days old and already we've got over 10 entries, plus several people have been kind enough to donate some very decent prizes. We'll figure out the voting and then move on from there.

I have a question, also, while we're on the topic of the SOTW formation. Does anybody have a suggestion for the next theme?

sounds good to me, (assuming i can take part....)

suggestion tho, in my opinion i think it'd be easiest to have one week of submissions, then the next week be for voting etc (assuming the community is taking part), in the very least i think with my time management skills (or lack thereof) that it'd be better to have the comp run for submissions fortnightly rather than weekly?

I'll think about that. I think a week is too long but you're right, there should be some time in between.

1. What are C4Ds?
Most people will know this, but for those who don’t, C4Ds are abstract images that are usually added to signatures and tags. They are usually created in Cinema 4D (hence the name C-4D), a type of 3D software, but sometimes they can be created in other programs.

2. What can C4Ds do to a signature/tag?
C4Ds can do many things, such as add flow, depth, interesting visual effects or all three. C4Ds can also be used as backgrounds for signatures, or they can be the main focal. But for C4D’s to give the full effect, the right type of C4D’s must be used and it must be placed in the right spot. Basically, don’t slap a C4D onto a tag and expect it to look better.

There is more information on that here

As for the Competition, after some asking around and discussion, we have decided to go with a small panel of judges.

At the end of the week's competition ( tomorrow I believe ) the judges will vote on the best sig.

Depending on how this week goes, we can make adjustments next week.

Ah, thanks Cap! :-D
Now I know what they are, I realise that one of those programs is Apophysis, and it makes perfect images one can use for those c4ds. :)
*used that*
