The former is cowardice, whereas the latter is admirable. Combined with good planning and strategy, the latter can also be successful.

If a 7x ascended, large alliance player with large 350mil army masses me with no good reason, am I to believe that that player was too frightened to attack someone that was more of a challenge, instead? It isn't even a question of morality to me, as I couldn't care less about whether or not it's right. It's a question of how a player broadcasts themselves to the world, saying, loud and clear, that they would rather pick on someone that has no chance of hitting them back.

An unprovoked attack on a stronger opponent, however, isn't even received with the same energy. From what I could gather from personal experience and comments from others, such attacks are usually met with congratulations when successful, although that congratulations may be followed up with a retaliation - a risk that the initiator accepted! :)

I used to random mass. Was fun at the time, how ever i stopped. Now, as a ex-random masser, If i was to insult, provoke or attack a fellow ex-random masser wouldn't it be classed as one of the highest levels of hypocrisy?

To quote that funny as hell kid of out 'the benchwarmers'... "Thats not what I'm about!"

 No I'm only at war with The Task Force.

I don't random mass any more because after a short period of time, imo, it looses its novelty and becomes a boring aspect of the game. All random massing does is break down the acc of a player, usually low players who are trying to build up. Educating however, i think that is a good concept gone horribly wrong. I agree that people should be taught/guided/directed on how to structure an account. If you build your acc in a way which makes it horribly unbalanced then you should be shown how to correct it. However a PM may work better than massing imo.

Thats drifting off topic, in a sense, so I'll stop there.

"Educating" was not a good concept that went horribly wrong, it was a flawed concept from the beginning.

The so called 'Educators' did not educate Vixion, they merely picked people who were smaller than them and massed them. They never offered help or advice or education or anything that may be helpful for the account, and they never took on anyone who may have been able to hit them back significantly. For anyone who did attempt it, they found themselves and their alliance then 'sat upon' by the rest of the so called Educators and for anyone who worked up the courage to post on the forum seeking assistance, they found only derision, hounding and in a lot of cases a reason to quit altogether.

Now of course the argument is that they could play the game any way they wanted, and while I support that argument, I don't believe that playing the game should include driving away the beginners because you were too cowardly to take on anyone who might hurt you.

Random massings not acceptable in the slightest.
Back in the days when my account had stats it was always a pain in the arse to log in to find the account in tatters. last two massings that really mattered were firstly for having 5mill spies trained(courtesy of MLH and lord Coyle) and another just after I rebuilt from that when a nutter decided he wanted to fight our alliance (except he asked our leader not to fight him and just let all the smaller accounts do the work, our leader didnt fight and we made mince out of the guy so that he spent all of 4 hours off PPT before running to perg and when I followed he gave in.)
