I hope so. :-D

Spain vs France as final is my dream (or Netherlands, as a revenge for what you did in 2008  ). :smt047
However 2nd of group G will face Spain in second turn. Will be epic. Considering candidates (Brazil, Portugal, CI) it's going to be epic match.

And sush MCJ. [-(

its cause Henry isnt on yet!
but i dont thin france has an actual leader like they did in 06.. i think they are nothing without a pro midfield that can make plays happen like zidane did

What the hell is Domenech doing? Does he even know himself?

0-0 Uruguay was burned at the end, but when you got a whole team defending (minus one excluded)...well it's not easy to goal.

I would have hoped the global domination by France was completed by a goal.

That was a terrible game of football Jim. France offered very little against a very average Uruguay side. Domenech is not fit to manage Accrington Stanley.

If only Henry was not a substitute.. #-o

No goal scored, but no goal conceded...

Mexico has to be defeated by France though, according to my prediction they are the most dangerous team in the group. South Africa are at home and got very high confidence. Uruguay is average and will be beaten by Mexico, and maybe by SA (or a draw, but defeat of uruguay to SA or Mexico isn't likely).
If France beats Mexico, then the road is opened to round 2.

terrible game.
no game plan, no organised offences (well, some by france in the second half).
any team playing like this in the next rounds isn't going to get far.

France always started by 0-0 whether they got nowhere or went up to final.
But of course, disappointed, Henry should have been in the start and Anelka as substitute in other words contrary. Would have been better I think.

Malouda should have started the game.

Why was Gignac playing down the right hand side when he came on. France were far too narrow and seriously lacking in spirit or energy. Like Hitchkok says, any team playing like that is going to get far. France will be lucky to get out of the group on that performance.

Jim, you're delusional if you think that that team and that manager can get anywhere near to the final.

I agree, I was disappointed when I learnt he wasn't.

France started by 0-0 against Switzerland in 2006...
