champagne is lame (rymes)
now it doesn't. but it is. (

a little thinker there for you...)
but chilled white wine can be nice on a hot spring afternoon. not my first choice, but acceptable. red wine? never liked it much. gives to much of a heavy feeling.
now grappa, that's a drink.
have to go back on that.
just opened a bottle of merlot, and it's all good so far.

Of course it is...
And champagne isn't tasteless..

well, depends which champagne you bought, if it's cheap one or fake one (don't know the word in english), then it's not surprising.

we bought an £80 bottle of champagne for Hogmany 1999-2000 (the millenium so a special occasion)
it was rubbish, might as well have been Cava
french wine is overpriced and overated at the best of times
new world wines ftw

To be perfectly honest Londo, unless your gonna pay at least £150 a bottle most champagnes arent all that spectacular.
You might as well stick to Cava unless you've got the money to htrow away
& heres some random info for you, it was actually the brits who invented champagne but we cant even make it anymore how daft is that? & yes it can be proven with historical records ffrom somewhere in kent if i recall correctly.

you shouldn't have to spend £150 for a bottle for it not to be rubbish, not that i'm a fan of any sparkling wine, give me an English ale or a good scotch any day
