so the second? that being, its okay to post about having sex with minors on these forums?
I'm going to fall into your entrapment and make some blanket statement like that lol..
I take things on a case-by-case basis, and in this case, the post was not breaking any rules.

No forum rules were broken, yet the comment was inapropriate to outsiders and a joke between friends to insiders.
umm no its sexually suggestive/explicit. Unless I'm blind, the rules forbid that. But i guess it just is another case of huge inconsistencies amongst the administration. Much like the picture I had to report 11 times before a mod did something about it, while lord Rahls sig was removed/banned for being just that.
That or its perfectly fine to post in these forums about having sex with minors....
No rule was broken. Virginity can take on many meanings. For example, if Juliette warned someone and it was their very first warning, she could easily say 'i've taken your virginity' in regards to the warning. People look at words in different ways.
One example is the one I used earlier, which is rape. I would never use that term to describe activity ingame, even though it's meaning is not solely sexual. You Ifrit yourself do not object to people using the term rape in this game. I bet the majority of people's first thoughts when they see the word rape is the sexual act before anything else. But because it has different meanings you are yourself ok with it.
Juliette made a harmless joke, although sick in my mind, but nonetheless it was harmless and did not break any rules.

fair enough in that regards, I don't use that term though. I'm not completely okay with the term "rape" used in that context, but I do understand the difference. But how I read the context, was exactly how I am acting of course. I'll admit I didn't believe she really did, but I did construe the context to the extent of being sexual. Perhaps it wasn't that.
To be clear I wasn't trying to entrap anyone, and I was not trying to cause anyone to be defensive. I was attempting to get clarity and I suppose for the most part I have, at least enough for now.

1. Clarkey ur statement about "raping" an account is valid. Although an account is not a human being.
2. Ifrit, it was obviously sexual, or she wouldn't have put, "oh wait you're 14"
3. Empy, I love ya but sexual references towards any minor, joke or not, is wrong.
4. Juliette, I have spoken with you alot, and believe you were speaking in jest, but, YOU should know better than anyone about the forum. Like i said earlier, ALOT of others, including parents do not know that. So If I were you, I would remove the post and just end it for good. I remember getting a warning for stating my opinions numerous times, comments removed, not even a hint of profanity....(i dont have specifics, but it was during mayhem vs nemesis.)

While we do not have kids, we can also understand why you speak as you did... had it been anything except that obvious jest, it would have been very wrong.
That opinion would lay in the eye of the beholder ...
The people involved may laugh ... a parent reading his kids activity may see the jest, and simply block.
Cos psyko, when a parent would see and understand its a moderator talking like that, they would simply deem the entire staff might be the same ... and block the site pre-emtpively.
Parents tend not to argue with people involved with disputable behaviour online when it comes to their childs upbringing. They simply prevent any further riscs of further involvement of their child.
I would.
And julliete, you and Andy might not be offended, parents might definatly think otherwise.
Mind you, the parents are the legal gaurdians, their childs personal opinion of a grown up women appraoching them like that, is of no concern to them. They will do what they feel is right for their child.
[/spoiler]
Then let the parents decide what its ok and what is not and stop trying to babysit someone elses kid.

Excuse me ?? I am not allowed to care for the comon intrest of kids on forums ?
Cos that is exactly what you are saying. Ohw wait, you was laughing about "uncle jack" you probably dont care at all about other peoples kids.

Someone getting offended on another's behalf when he/she/it is not offended him-/her-/itself, is more wrong we'd say.
Mind you, these are personal opinions of ours, not official admin decrees.
.....
Those are your personal opinions too zera

You obviously dont have kids.

So because Z does not have childern his opinion is instantly invalidated or is it because he does not agree with you? Maybe it is both? Because that is exactly what you just said.

In my personal opinion, yes, they were invalid to a degree, and I expressed it, whats your point ?
Since when does asking a question and rubbing your chin mean you are laughing? I do not know this person, I have never heard of them before now. The odds she is talking about me are incredibly low. Much to my dismay I am not the only Jack on the forum.
And no, it is not your place to parent another person's kid. Hell you would be pissing me off if you came up to me chastising Julie because she said that to my kid.

Just goes to show that so many people's lives are wrapped up in this forum that a year can feel like a week ago.

What I meant is the man topic I believe was 2 years ago. So many people's lives are wrapped up in this forum that what they think was a few months or a year ago was in fact a lot longer.

Lol, I miss the man topic. But I do understand how it stepped over some lines..
I'll stay out of the argument though, I am somewhat on the fence on the issue.
I know as a 14 year old I came across way worse things on the internet than an older lady joking about doing stuff with a younger guy. I know the forums are meant to be family friendly, but as the other mods have noted.. it is not exactly against the rules.
